I'm pretty sure I've been playing FFXIV off and on since Alpha around may of last year.

Since CB for me. Came back after they announced big new patch so I'm hoping it's Super! That's sorta how most people playing are. Play for patch, get bored, stop playing, come back for new patch...

The content they have been releasing isn't bad, just not enough at once. You can get through it all within a week or 2, maybe less.

I think that's where a lot of the impatience and malcontent is. We have sidequests but not a lot, we have NMs, but not a lot. I remade my character just to enjoy the lowbie sidequesting which is actually fun. But, once I hit rank 20 there really aren't more for me to do.
