    Needed for 2.2: Alternative Alliance/Raid Grouping System

    I'm sick and tired of this. I'm tired of being in CT with 2 alliances that I cannot trust to ACTUALLY play this raid right and will either PULL before all groups are ready (Like when a party members DC's or a member is being replaced), tanks who are pulling hate off of other mobs (The Vassago fight, I've had two cases of tanks coming over and spamming Enmity grabbing skills) and so much more I can't be bothered to mention. This 'trolling' is getting out of control and without a means to be aware of the OTHER 16 people I am grouping with, it means I have too strong of a chance to be screwed by a player or two or three or MORE who are intent on making their own entertainment out of making others frustrated and miserable.

    Square, you NEED to add a new system. Either allow me to group STRICTLY with people on my server so that way those players can be BLACKLISTED and never grouped with again... or allow a way to set up the alliances before entering into raids. These 'players' who are basically griefing others at this point are hindering my attempts to complete this dungeon and get my gear. I have PLENTY of people I know in Linkshells and my FC and MORE that would add up to enough to get a full 24 man party together.

    Add this feature and you will put an end to the this prevalent form of trolling in the game. By having extra features to work around players deliberately inconveniencing others, they will run out of options and have less easy means of harassing and griefing other players trying to legitimately play this game.

    PLEASE put this in top priority, because while it isn't happening for EVERY single CT run, it's happening enough that I'm sure people share in similar feelings for this issue. Duty Abandon has helped somewhat, but adding alternative options for grouping for Raids is the quickest means to solving the problem.

    This is what they should do with this, I see a lot of people talking about how people leave after they get or don't get armor.

    Simple solution to this would be if the person gets their item it locks till they are done with the dungeon if they leave the item stays with the dungeon and removes itself from the inventory of said player.

    If they leave because they didn't get anything their armor fully breaks and they have a huge repair cost.

    ye this one i think so too , lock gear until "Duty Complete" , so if even it dropped to player he have to win dungeon/raid for item pop in player's "items", if player leaved dungeon - item will be lost upon leave (+ week lockout For CT lmfao) .

    I guess the more people that form 24man groups the longer the ques go for everyone else, theyve said it was a limitation of the game and theyre working on it, but I still believe it was a choice and they chose casuals

    I just want preformed alliances so I don't have to deal with a half hour of queue whack-a-mole every time I want to run CT.

    That whole change to hide the progress of an in-progress run? Didn't stop queue fishers. They can still tell if it's in-progress or not, because it tallies up all the classes in the Duty Finder window. And they can still withdraw before entering.

    So your change did... nothing. At all.

    I see about 2 or 3 posts here that have nothing to do with the issue I mentioned in the initial topic.

    Will this solve ALL of the CT problems? Hell no. But it WILL solve the problem of people DELIBERATELY sabotaging runs by doing things like messing with mob aggro, pulling mobs before everyone is in the arena to fight, anything that involves trusting 16 complete strangers (Most of the time, I've rarely experienced regrouping in DF for CT so far) with properly playing the dungeon.

    I apologize if people were bothered by me acting like queue withdraw spam or dropping after getting loot was a problem (The latter which I DID experience, the jerk logged in the MIDDLE of the atomos fight after getting his piece) and I promise that I DO see those as a problem. The focus of this topic is on trolls who are trying to LIE about the fact that they're trolling or DISGUISE it as 'Oh my bad!' or even going so far as to try and place blame on another alliance which sparks arguments and people rage quitting. These problems were made of individuals on a small scale (1 or 2) that sabotaged a raid as WELL as 2 instances of half or more of the alliance members being in on the 'trolling' attempt of playing bad on purpose. There are threads for other issues with CT right now but I'm primarily focusing on a feature to get around this 'trust' issue.

    But I guess the overall problem is that CT grouping needs to be patched in with extra grouping options ASAP, because otherwise these (for lack of better choice of description) DICKS will CONTINUE to mess with people for their own amusement.

    It was not a design choice by SE to disallow forming pre-made Alliances. They've been trying to develop a good UI for it but have been having trouble with it. I see why too, those added health bars are a HUGE eye sore.

    It has nothing with them choosing the "casuals" over the "hardcores", the option to make Alliances is in the works as we speak. As for your suggestion of grouping CT only in their respective servers...I would say no. The queue times for a system like that would be through the roof. A better alternative would be a vote kick option for people in other Alliances or voting to kick whole Alliances. Though I foresee such a system to be quite messy, possibly worse than what you're describing.

    Though honestly I think you should grow thicker skin. It's just a game, dude.

    when the ratio is almost 2:1 in terms of good runs vs troll runs then yeah they really should take a look. For me its usually every other run or 3rd run when someone seriously messes with the alliance. We clear the dungeon eventually but not without a sour taste in our mouths.

    I think they just need to get rid of the 24 man raids and go back to 8 man raids which seem perfectly fine and difficult too one might say .
