Though this doesn't bother me much since I don't spend time looking at my character other than to decide if I like how this armor or that armor looks, I support this thread for the people who do care xD

Well At least they don't change what kind of ears you have...
On a similar note, something that bugs me as a Miqote is heavy armor. When leveling a tank class, I eventually reached those "tin can armors". Granted, a lot of us don't care for them, but they are pretty impressive. They are big and bulky and cover every bit of my body. It does give me a sense of being well protected...
Yet my poor tail has absolutely no armor on it. While the rest of me, Ears included is as armored as a can of soup, my tail is free and open to any sharp object that might be swinging my way.
"Fire? No problem, this armor will protect me... Wait, why do I smell burning fur?"
how about those Thug Mugs?
For Miqo'tes, the way the ears are placed looks like they REALLY HURT.
Don't mind me, I'm just posting my opinions on the internet and watching how people react to them.
Even in 1.0 the tails were unprotected. The only exception was with the Heavy Darklight armorOn a similar note, something that bugs me as a Miqote is heavy armor. Maybe they removed it because the length of the tails are not fix anymore.
i don't see why they have to remove it because we have options. why couldn't they just give it a static length :/
I think they said they got rid of miqo'te specific gear appearances to streamline the gear creation process. So they just have to make one body for hyurs and miqo'te and let the tails clip through because it's faster than altering the model for miqo'te.

rather than taking the pre-existing armored tail model and splicing it onto the pre-existing armor....right.
streamlining is no excuse for gimping.
And yet ear socks don't take time... Think most of us would prefer protection for our tails over those. And no development time to change out of these silly things, just revert Miqo'te to using default Hyur helms and let the ears clip through for leather and cloth. Less development time, makes more sense, looks better, makes the players happier, need I say more?
As much as that made me cringe, would be far better an option. Looking at that 1.0 tail armor though.... I want it! With the new race in 3.0 having a tail, maybe the Dev's can revisit this issue! And yet ear socks don't take time... Think most of us would prefer protection for our tails over those. "Welcome to the ranks of the blue mages. However, at this moment you are but an empty vessel--a base creature, weaker than the most ordinary mortal. A blue mage must wrest her strength and vitality from her enemies. Show me your hunger for unrivaled power! This is the only guidance I shall give you."
