While we're on the subject of ears; I dislike having almost all headgear acting as ear mufflers, too. I get it, Miqo'te have super hearing and you have to bring us down somehow, but please stop, you're embarrassing yourself Yoshida. All headgear for Miqo'te should be like this;

Miqo'te were the best race to show off earrings, until most headgear had to be trash...

Sadly, it was already this way before Yoshida came on board. My first deformed hat I saw with a Miqo'te was during 1.0 beta. It was this: http://xivdb.com/?item/493/Dated-Canvas-Hat-%28Pink%29 (found it at camp bloodshore in a treasure chest during a leve)

But I give you right. Even if Yoshida don't change the old models, the new models should have holes for the ears (and armored tails, please ^^)
With the coming vanity system I only use headgears where the ears are free (or don't deform the headgear)
