Honestly looking at the pictures I think your angle is off, you also have to remember the hat might pull down on your ears a bit or "squish" them like wearing beanies IRL. As far as the angle, look at the lips there is clearly a discrepancy.

But we don't have giant cat ears that would experience pain IRL.
