playerbase down 25% in 4 months?

So apparantely someone made a post on the JP forums and made a lodestone crawler to check active players over the last 4 months, they found that around 25% have stopped logging on, even once in the last 4 month period from when they started scanning. Thats a large loss during free mode when they are still updating the game, that means those 25% didn't even bother to log in after updates to check stuff out.

Reality check for some people on here maybe.

I see posts on here complaining about the lack of new direct X support and other assorted rubbish, the game is losing huge numbers of players in such a short amount of time, during free mode. I think reality should make people stop asking for stupid stuff when the game is dying so quickly.

There is still no real content actually, so it's rather expected. The situation should change a bit after 1.18, if it's the case.

I hope I am wrong, the last letter makes it seem like 1.18 won't have the dungeons in it. Seems like they are behind on figuring out how to make auto-attack more effective. How can they release the two dungeons if the battle system isn't working properly?

Assuming a repartition of the playerbase similar to the last figures at Japanese prime-time we had before SE removes the server population count, this makes a grand total of around 35k players. And this includes everyone who only connected once to check whether the game was still working or those who bought the game for 10 euros and tried it only 2 days before rage-quitting. This, of course, without any subscription fee.

I am pretty sure the average F2P would be shut down with that population.

I'm assuming a good number of these people who have "Quit" are like me just waiting on the sidelines to see what happens.
