the sad part is that NPCs in the game already have a better vanity system than us. like Yda ans Papalymo who are a blm and mnk wearing heavy armor.

because they have still their dated gear from 1.0

Before optimal class and level on gears got changed to required class and level in 1.0, every class could wear every type of gear at every level. To be on the optimal class at the optimal level was only important to get all the stats on the gear.
