i highly doubt that seasonal or vanity gear was only added to be used in town or for RP purposes, thats alot of work to put in to only please such a small demographic of players in such a limited way

I strongly think it was.
It is the case for every and all MMOs I've played yet.
Call it.. an educated opinion/guess.

And I am not trying to have the last word, you're entitled to your opinion, just felt the need to say something extra .
