I mean... fighting Titan EX in a reindeer costume is funny .. sure.. but intended purpose for that costume ? Hahaha

I'd much more see them as "casual" wear and RP wear. Hey, costume parties are a "thing" right ? Right ?!

Anyway, I've stated my stance on this and I am not inflexible about it, but I could live with the rules I laid out just fine.

We'll see how it pans out.

There is a lore blurb out there calling the current Dark Light "fake" because of the sheer quantity available.. you'd have to search around to find it..

Don't forget all the NPCs who can apparently dye gear that is undyeable for us lowly PCs (INCLUDING AF).

People can do a dungeon dressed as a snowman now if they really wanted to, at least this way they'll be properly equipped while doing so.

While I agree to a certain extent I still think the option should be there for people who want to goof it up a bit. If you are that serious about not being in that type of group just establish a group of serious players you know agree with your views for immersion. Just my 2 bits...

exactly....play with people who are ho-hum like you and let us play the game how we want. you don't represent the majority simply because you have an opinion. there are those who want it to be serious, and there are those of us that like to have fun goofing off. lets not add a feature to the game that so many people have been asking for because it pisses you off. this whole game was made just for you. there are bikinis and snowman heads in the game. deal with it! seriously. do you not have any imagination?

This really isn't an issue of "ruin for everyone else". It's pretty obvious that Square has gone out of its way in FFXIV to preserve the story integrity of the environment, which is why something like vanity slots dont exist in the first place.

Because having a giant doll and some midget from ANOTHER GAME riding around Shroud due to "accidental inter-dimensional travel" is preserving the story integrity and environment?
Because having a female character from ANOTHER GAME appear in this world due to some arbitrary reasoning "Some God wants me to fight here" fits right in?
