The Lightning event was pretty high quality I thought. And I don't fancy XIII or Lightning.

Haven't done the DQ one and don't really plan to. In general I think they put too much effort into this side stuff when they could be adding more content to flesh out the actual XIV world.

I get holiday events being short since they constantly repeat, but these i cant imagine we will see every year...could they not put in at least a little effort?

Your logic (or lack thereof) is strange. If it's a one time thing they shouldn't be putting a lot of resources into it. If it's something that occurs regularly, that would call for more resources. Sounds like you are just trying to be a douchebag.
