Those cross over events were just...sad...

I knew they wouldnt be big, but lordy lordy that was some half baked if ive ever seen it. Two "quests" (if you can call them that) built exactly the same (talk to npc > 2 fates in a row > talk again for 2 min CS =done) were short to say the least. I get holiday events being short since they constantly repeat, but these i cant imagine we will see every year...could they not put in at least a little effort?

Oh and as ive noticed with this group of devs..."throw it in a fate" seems to be the easy way out.

Personally, I rather them not put much effort into these silly side events. Having new events creates a nice change of pace and I appreciate their existence. But, If they were to take away resources from creating much more elaborate and long lasting content, then I would truly hate the events for ever existing in the first place.

I'm very much ok with crossover events like this and Lightning being built around FATEs. It's when they do it with main story content that I get annoyed. But FATEs seem perfectly suited for this type of event.

If that is really the case, then im all for it...hell id rather they not even bother. But you have to think they have people who probably work on these kinds of things and just dont seem to try much.

I'm sick of the fates which is why I haven't bothered with any "events" if you can even call them that.

I did like the cutscene with Shantotto and hearing the Mission Complete sound, but that's just Square pulling my nostalgia for XI. I wish it could have been a bit longer or more complex, but it did put a smile on my face.

I agree the quests could have been longer or have more quests (I would have loved more FFXI nostalgia thown upon me) but don't forget the purpose of these is marketing nothing else, I'll just leave this here Puff Puff
