    Something in the Soup (Spoiler....)

What did you guys think about this quest? Though the meatball thing confused me a bit because i didnt realize i had to make two recipes, this story was great.

Prudentia is a f'ing guy The whole time I was thinking that Pulmia took her buddy's man (Im a girl so you know how i was reacting to this...soap opera style). I'm still a bit confused as to why Prudy poisoned the meal that BOTH Pulmia and the guy was going to eat. I figured Prudy and the guy had a lil ball juggling going on for a bit, but Pulmia cleared that up for me at the end of the quest heh. Maybe Prudentia wanted to get rid of Pulmia for getting all of the appraisals and the guy for winning his old chick's heart.

For all my complaints about the lack of love for Culinarian, I have to say the class quests for it were probably some of the more amusing, well written and enjoyable ones I've seen in the game so far.

Sadly, the rest of my Linkshell didn't really share my enthusiasm about it as I was recounting the story to them, but their loss .

And c'mon, spoiler alert! (ok, edit, I just saw you put the spoiler alert in the title. My bad, I haven't finished my coffee).

I did the same! I was talking about it to my ls as i was doing it. No one cared ._.) It is a great story. I felt so bad for Prudentia at the end of the cs though. How he was just chopping away at the food looking like he was just thinking and thinking. The fact that the gf had been with him while his look was more masculine, she had should have understood why he did what he did instead of calling him a freak. What a loser girlfriend! Same person, but different look; HOWEVER...he still had a reason to wear the pants. Makes me sad that he may never have his love for another because he has to stay incognito to maintain his love for Culinary arts! eh, i guess something has to give tho.

Weaving quests are just as humorous. The twist at the end is great.

I have a personal vision that future quests would give Prudentia a chance to break away and open his own seaside diner, while changing to a more androgynous look to keep the interest of both sexes and reclaiming his lost masculinity and possibly finding new love. <3

I personally found this quest an absolute riot. I was KILLING myself in laughter. I was sharing quotes with my linkshell the entire time, with quotes and everything.

I mean, come on, you're making devilbelly meatballs out of queer-smelling meat, for one.

My favourite quote was in the CUL guild, when you are collecting the ingredients and the recipe. One guy says something like "Well I can't help you with the recipe, but if it's queer-smelling meat you're after... dot dot dot" (not an exact quote, but a reasonable facsimile) and I loved the double entendre. :P

Definitely the funniest quest I've done so far, and I've finished most of them. Looking forward to future extensions of this class quest line.

It's been a while since I actually ran this one, now I sort of wish I could do it again, I had forgotten some of the finer points

I do recall being a little pleasantly surprised at how... I don't know, "raunchy" some parts of it were. Not that it was exactly explicit, or even all that raunchy by JMMO standards, but not the kind of thing you usually see make it into anything translated into english that hits the mass market that they had at least intended for lots of people, including kids to play. Of course, some of the things your path "companion" says are rather suggestive as well, to say the least.

I think I got more enjoyment from the Culinarian quests, and generally more of a sense of pride and accomplishment out of hitting each cooking rank just because we're not exactly the most popular craft in the game, and I don't feel like I'm just like all the other bazillion weavers, carpenters, blacksmiths, whatever whenever I do.

Sure, whenever I get a rank in Culinarian and I blurt out "ding! CUL38!" or something in LS chat, I'm sure everyone is thinking "omg who CARES?" even though they politely offer up a (Congratulations!), but I know that even at 38, it puts me among a select dedicated elite who have persevered without fear of belittlement, gil-making potential, practicality, or available inventory space for love of their craft (well, ok, when I say "love" we have our bad days too... last leve left me like 2k short of 38 and I didn't have all the ingredients for anything that I'd get decent sp for to get there, but I did have a bunch of apples, of course... there were some nasty things said about apple juice in LS chat yesterday).

Culinarian is good, but the fishing quests were better I think at the end.
