saw it dropped yesterday and only two persons could've rolled on it and no one was loot locked from the instance.

You add something with potential for player interest, but you keep the same rule for looting that makes the majority of players lose interest. Stop doing it, the chest doesn't even spawn all the time, that's enough of a restriction as it is for what I can only see as you being cautious to not flood the market with it. I feel that you should scrap the rule tied to armour and make a separate rule just for this, so that players can receive the fragment and an armour piece in a week.
By the time my free company is able to afford an M or L size house I'm sure I won't need anything else from the Labyrinth ... wait? can it be sold?
Pretty sure it can be sold... And that's also likely the reason most of the people that lotted on it, did so. Just another gil grab.
Yep! My FC managed to grab one (Behemoth)and we were able to trade it around. I don't think you can put it up on the MP but you can definitely trade it in between buyers/sellers. I suppose its like the primal drops before the 2.1 update?

Hi Sotek,XIV has this extremely weird system where endgame progression is relatively simplistic and easy, but anything vanity related is a time sink worthy of the Final Fantasy XI legacy... Behemoth and Odin, Housing, heck, the Lv15 and Lv32 unique looking gear from low level dungeons are rarer than most endgame gear... I swear, there are more Allagan weapons out there than their are Odin/Behemoth items, it's very odd...
It's really sad, if this just had its own unique lock out of one fragment a week (you know, like it has its own unique chest?), it would be incentive to stay in Crystal Tower after getting whatever you want. Philosophy and Mythology Tomestones aren't that much of an incentive these days, given Philosophy are pure trash now, and Mythology can be capped on Duty Roulette alone. "I'll keep doing Crystal Tower after getting my drop for this" was the first thing I thought reading it, now? Back to not doing Crystal Tower after ~Tuesday.
(I think we're still waiting on improvements to the LB System and whatever meaningful Party Combo System that might arise in the future (I hope))
I totally agree. The Blue Bird Minion (totally fluff, vanity) elicits more "Oohs!" and "Aahs!" and is rarer than many End Game Gear. It seems like the Dev Team is doing some really weird stuff: Having low RNG / Rare Stuff be relegated to just Vanity or Odd Things here or there, while everything else is just repetition / earning your tombstones for the week, etc.
Funny, people have been asking for rare drops in the game and the minute they create one everyone starts whining about how hard it is to get. If people didn't have the tough decision to sacrifice loot for it, you would see these things everywhere and they would be worthless. Thank you SE for adding another option to CT, not everyone needs gear and might want this instead.
They're not doing weird stuff - They're doing exactly what all developers does to artificially extend the life of a game with low content. It's not even "FFXI legacy" because Yoshi never touched FFXI in his own words - It's more like they added loot lockout on CT because they had to keep us busy from December - April. Why do you think you can get a map every 18 hours? In XI I wasn't barred from anything I wanted to do and able to rotate content if it had a JP midnight reset or 3 day cooldown on the major content.
However once that reset was up, I could get whatever I wanted if it dropped. The problem with the vanity set farming is because there's a lot to shift around and then the countless versions of "Aetherial" gear and no gear at all (useless potions.)
wow that explains why when i received my leg piece after the last boss fight, and won the dimension fragment i never received it lol
