Tempest Free Company of Hyperion
Annnnnnd there goes my interest in obtaining it. Not like I'll have a house to put it in, considering Squares tenuous at best grasp of economics and pricing of virtual houses. Maybe after I've geared up all my tertiary classes.
Considering how easy it is to do CT, there's no point in getting it. There are no housing styles that go with it anyway. Personal housing isn't out yet, and the devs refuse to give us any confirmation on how it will work. We don't even know if we'll get a garden in our personal housing.
A minion or a iLv85 weapon probably would have generated more interest than this...
“There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self.”
― Ernest Hemingway
So a decoration element is equal to item loot? A decoration for the many many houses that exist so far? Oh well, I guess by the time we will finally score our house, nobody will need CT loot anymore so it shouldn't be a problem. Look forward to fall 2014 when it is happening! And to see the Archeron perfectly, do not forget to zoom your camera out to the maximum.
Well this is beyond stupid... Are Primal EX crafting materials going to count as our 1 week weapon drop now too? How about ADS parts? Will we be locked out of Coil after obtaining them?
If any of you folks are salty about getting the crafting mat give it to me, my FC is dying for it. I'll take it over another redundant piece of gear.
While it's not related - They did kind of state before 2.1 any spoils from CT/LoTA is on a weekly lockout, why would something suddenly be an exception? The original note didn't even say it was something you can lot on along side your gear loot.
You don't get Primal EX weapons from the Primals directly but from a quest. And the crafting materials are drops from the primals directly and not from the quest.
And Coil lockouts are unchanged. Complete a turn and you're locked out from that and lower turns for the rest of the week.
Because it's not a piece of gear? It is not going to speed up a players progression in the slightest, the options are iLv80 gear or, assuming anyone will buy it, Gil, which at best gets you iLv70 gear. The whole point of such lockouts is to slow progression, and this crafting material has nothing to do with progression. Just like all the other items, which are exactly the same as this one, it should just drop to a random persons inventory.
XIV has this extremely weird system where endgame progression is relatively simplistic and easy, but anything vanity related is a time sink worthy of the Final Fantasy XI legacy... Behemoth and Odin, Housing, heck, the Lv15 and Lv32 unique looking gear from low level dungeons are rarer than most endgame gear... I swear, there are more Allagan weapons out there than their are Odin/Behemoth items, it's very odd...
It's really sad, if this just had its own unique lock out of one fragment a week (you know, like it has its own unique chest?), it would be incentive to stay in Crystal Tower after getting whatever you want. Philosophy and Mythology Tomestones aren't that much of an incentive these days, given Philosophy are pure trash now, and Mythology can be capped on Duty Roulette alone. "I'll keep doing Crystal Tower after getting my drop for this" was the first thing I thought reading it, now? Back to not doing Crystal Tower after ~Tuesday.
