Vote Kick Stupidity

So, I was doing a CT this morning. Healer-wise my PT consisted of me(WHM) and a SCH. After Bone Dragon died, the SCH posted in PT chat he had to AFK for a while, he didn't know how long though, that we could kick him if needed.

We are all running to Atomos and 10 secs later, after the SCH posted that, apparently I got Vote Kicked from the PT.

Me and the SCH, our names were nothing alike. Obviously even two separate jobs. How dumb do you actually have to be to make that kind of mistake?

"Oh, the healer is AFK, VOTE KICK THE HEALER!!" "OOPS, WRONG HEALER!!"

Are there any kind of changes SE can make to Vote Kick to protect it from morons?

I mean, the person who initiated the Vote Kick obviously had to have a less than average IQ to do that kind of mistake in the first place, but you need the majority of the PT to confirm it for it to pass judgement. Does no one read anything they confirm?

I feel your pain but it's human error. Apparently there's morons following morons if they think to correct the mistake of identity.

On the bright side, maybe your next group will be a bit more brighter and less illiterate.

That's why before I vote anyone out, I tend to discuss it first w/o getting click-happy.

Is this really a issue? I mean it's unfortunate but does literally every single kick that happens need a discussion thread on it? What would we even do to stop you from getting kicked here? Institute some tribunal system for each kick where people can make their cases?

This is silly, sorry people got mixed up, but what can you do?

And regardless of all the complaining posts, I am still happy the feature exists in game. While it can be abused, it still helps many parties run more efficiently than before when you had to take a penalty if someone was AFK or trolling.
