What to do with a slow PC?

My PC is slow. I own a ps4 but gotta wait till April...
I'm stuck at level 25 and unable to progress through main quest...
Parties kick me out of dungeons cuz they are waiting for me... So far I've grinded my way through the game.. My inventory is already halfway full and I can't sell anything...
I sprint... From point a to point b... It's rediculous... I love this game but... What can I do? All settings set to low or off. :/

Well its only a few months wait for your ps4 so why not do the solo stuff on the other classes while you wait.
You'll have some awesome crosskills to use when you get back to doing the dungeons. Or start your crafting to level 19 for materia melding.

Set the lowest possible quality, switch off all effects - both graphical in games settings as well as player's one in character's settings, try different modes (full screen, windowed, borderless) to see which one performs best for you, try to get updated drivers for your graphic card, kill ALL unnecessary apps and processes on PC while playing the game (in task manager) like indexing etc., if possible, try to add memory ... plenty other small tweeks here and there which can bit by bit improve the playability of the game.

What happens with your PC when you try to do dungeons? Does it crash the game completely and kick you out before you can complete a run? Or does it balk at updating the screen so you can't see what's happening around you? Fail to respond to controls?

The first time I ran Sastasha, I hadn't figured out how adjust my settings well, and I could barely see what was happening due to all the flashing flaming graphic effects obscuring the screen. I couldn't see what was targeted, so could only rarely get in range to perform an actual attack. I wound up just getting somewhere in the middle of the mess and spamming Flash over and over. Not the ideal way of tanking a dungeon, but for a simple one like that, it actually worked out ok (though I needed to pause a few moments between mob groups to let my mp levels recover).

Have you asked your FC for help? There's only three fairly easy dungeons (levels 15, 16, & 17) before you gain access to retainers, and one primal fight (level 20) after that before you gain access to a chocobo mount. If your PC isn't kicking you out of the game completely, a helpful group who knows what you're dealing with should be able to help you get through that much, even if you are stuck spending more effort on fighting with your computer than fighting with the mobs.

(Once you get either the PS4 version or a better PC, you'll want to go back and learn how to tank properly with a working system. You'll find the game a whole lot more fun once once you can focus on the in-game challenges rather than interface ones.)

Thanks everyone for the great input. Maybe I'll join a fc. But I've been hesitant since my PC reluctantly slow. I've also considered using a different job so that my speed isn't as important. I don't drop from game but my sprint is slow compared to normal pcs and I can't get in front as tank. Party eventually kicks me... It sucks but I don't blame them. I look forward to ps4 game release but I'll just continue to grind in the mean time.

Do you have a PS3? You're able to update your PS3 copy to work on the PS4 when it comes out, if that's an option for you.
