SE should put out more newspaper like articles.

While SE is screwing around with the game and putting out vague producer letters they should write up more articles to read like "The Raven" at least once a week, even if slightly short.... Give us something to keep us a little more occupied while we wait for this game to go from fail to win. They have two more news papers they havnt even published (The Harbor Herald and The Mythril Eye). More pictures and hints to the drastic changes! yes please

Agreed. Newspaper articles add little if anything to the game.

I liked the Vana'diel Tribune, but frankly at this stage of development the existence of newspapers is offensive.

I'd settle for Triple Triad while we wait though.

ooook then well then while we are getting once a month patch notes (or if you count the 1-2 bug fixes as a separate patch note) we can have nothing else... I for one would much rather have progress but for the last 8-9 months.. whatever it is, weve hardly got anywhere.. so something giving us some hints of upcoming changes would be nice. Unless you'd simply rather like to answer every last forum submission on here (JOEKING). More information, in whatever format it comes in is better then no information.

Flavor pieces like the newspaper articles are fun and add character to the game (if you read them). They take negligible resources and don't detract from the game development in any way, so I can't understand why people would prefer to not have them.

I'm surprised at the extreme lack of content or updates from writers and artists. Those guys should be separate from developers and should be able to do, at the very least, concept work until the technical aspects of the game are ironed out.

These things shouldn't be posted on a website, they should be somehow incorporated in-game rather pulling players away from the game to read a wall of text with no connection to whats current in-game, though perhaps this is intended to distract players from the game because it is, well you play it right? I don't need to tell you the state of the game...

Actually that wouldn't be to bad. You could easily integrate something into the game that pulls up a window with text to read. But again it takes time to make sure that it works properly, etc.

I wouldn't mind Triple Triad being placed in the game, but I'd also want it to be supported INSIDE the game with card drops, crafting cards, etc. That would take a lot of development so I'd rather wait for when Triple Triad would be polished and ready to go on launch than another half-wit project. There are more pressing matters to attend to currently.

They could just do stuff like those guys that popped out of nowhere to spout messages of the impending doom... Better than a wall of text on a website that probably not all players will look at.
