    [Suggestion] Discipline of the Hand

-This message is divided to ensure better and quick easy read-
    Dear Producer:

    Introduction

Thank you for your care and honest concern to improve your work and to give all the players and fans the opportunity to feedback and ultimately read and respond to these feedbacks. This approach is well appreciate it, and it shows potential and establishes high hopes and special liking and enjoyment to the game.

I have been playing your game for over a week now. I find that the whole team work is quite impressive and deserves praise when it comes to soundtrack, graphics, region theme and design, Story, battle and creative class system. All are essential features in an MMO and all are already met. However there is one major problem that prevents the game from being a great experience, one that can easily be fixed in few tweaks. All in which I find it to be unfair to the game and I only hope that a consideration would be put in to regard.

    The Problem

The discipline of the Hand class are surprisingly and unreasonably repeative. There are eight different class but yet all share the same craft/synthesis mini game and that's pretty much everything in those class. I suggest that each one of the eight class to get their own unique mini game to craft/synthesis.

    Justification

    A. Time spend
Game concerns and encourages crafting in an almost forcing manner. The average player spends huge amount of time in Eorzea crafting. If we to consider the amount of time spend on a game as a scale to determine it content then in no doubt the crafting/synthesizing would make half of the game. So it is very important to add verity to them.

Providing a unique crafting mini game for each class would be refreshing. Imagine this; a player crafting a hempen yarn then latter got board of weaving then simply switches to Carpenter and do something completely different. As you can see, although the suggestion is simple it adds lot of depth and variety in to the game.

    B. Logic and Realistic element:
Under all Discipline of the Hand class, each in actuality makes something totally different with completely different jobs, it makes no sense that the act of cooking a steak in the game is exactly the same as cutting woods or making cloths.

    C. Lack of Quantity:
FFXIV is an RPG, and as most RPGs are rich with mini games, it makes FFXIV feels a big step behind with it two (four at max) mini games. Especially for being an MMO, which is expected to be bigger than the average, and especially that older games including older Final Fantasy installments got far more mini games than that and many are over 15 years older.

What I am trying to say is that making an additional 7 mini games should not be viewed as "too much to ask" or as an abuse rather it is a small request that should be expected from today stander and one that isn't new for the people in Square Enix since they themselves and including many other developers have been doing it for years.

    D. It is a class of it own:
I am sure that many find it strange that a whole class, rather a whole collection of class are completely identical, since crafting mini game is the only thing you'll do and all eight class share the same mini game. It is like having both Lancer and Gladiator to have the same exact move list!

    Solution

The Solution are divided in to two types: Minimum, and Best.

    a. Minimum:
In the minimum I am only asking for few tweaks for the crafting/synthesizing mini game, a small tweak that would at lest make the player feels like doing something different. or like to stick to the risk-Luck theme only with different application.

A good example would be how the Discipline of the Land gathering mini games works; each of the mini games shares the same theme and are almost identical yet element were added to make each feel different like: patient element in fishing or the power bar in mining, or even something as shallow as the switch between horizontal bar (fishing) to a column bar (Botanist). These at their bases are one mini game only with few tweaks. These gathering mini games at lest feel different and distinguishable from each other.

    b. best:

Personally, I would prefer that each discipline of the hand class get a novel, interesting and addictive crafting/synthesizing mini game of it own rather than mere tweaks. I am sure that most players would find the above mentioned justification to be strong enough to qualify the additional work cost in applying such solution.

I hope for the very lest to take the easy to accomplish minimum solution before the release of the PS3 version. I am only hoping for the best for me as a player and all other players old or new and for the game to get positive feedback from the media on it second chance in PS3.

Thank you for reading so far. Again I really appreciate the concern.
