    Glaring issues that were NOT addressed in 2.1

    1. Mechanic and stat information is withheld from players. It's 2.1 and I STILL do not know my critical chance %. I cannot see what the damage difference between 5 Determination and 10 Determination is. They introduced a new stat, Morale, for 2.1, and no one has a clue how good it is because we have no information on stats. Can anyone explain why we need to have a guy with a clipboard and a stopwatch go out and slay 10,000 sheep so we can figure out our block and parry rates?

    There are also tons of unexplained mechanics. In PVP, Bards take a potency hit when they are farther away from a target, but we have zero idea how much and from what distance. Is it a 50% loss at 20 yalms? 20% loss at 20 yalms? Do we hit the same at 10 yalms as we do at 1 yalm? No one knows.

    2. Repair armor function is useless. I'd estimate that 0.0001% of the player base has repaired their own gear, since you have to be in the crafter class and then search for all your pieces just to repair. If you have the correct DoH class leveled, you should be able to repair that gear while in any job, period.

    3. UI/chat/party restrictions. There are too many to even list. Can't queue with companion. Can't accept invites with companion. Can't join party while crafting. Can't send tells in Duty Finder. Can't chat at all while in Wolve's Den. Can't view Free Company or Linkshell while in Duty. Can't do Battle Leves while in Party Finder. Can't start a treasure map if a party member is a crafter. Can't join party if looking at the Market Board. It's endless and frustrating.

    Using Caps in commands doen't work either. Using /P instead of /p fails. Using /L1 instead of /l1 fails. For the love of god, why???

    4. Chocobo companions are beyond useless. They steal EXP, they are terrible at all their roles, and they are a logistical nightmare once they are summoned (you can't mount, you can't queue for anything, etc). They take forever to level, and you can only kill open world mobs with them - which are already mind numbingly easy even at 50. And once you level your chocobo, all you can do with it is...kill more world mobs? Why bother?

    5. Battle music is overused. Dungeons have awesome opening themes that get shut off after the first minute and it defaults back to the same battle theme we've heard ad nauseam. There isn't even music in the background between trash pulls. Just silence, battle theme, silence, battle theme. It definitely kills the immersion and makes all the dungeons just seem to bleed together. The same applies to the overworld. We hear the same battle music a billion times while there are incredible pieces of music that you only hear for a minute or so at random spots if you aren't doing anything. But then it just reverts back to silence once they finish unless you attack something. We need a repeat/loop music option and an option to turn off the battle theme altogether (or they need to add a ton of battle themes).

    6. There is no option to turn off cutscenes. Why do we need to manually skip cut scenes every time we enter a dungeon or face a boss? It seems ridiculous during the storyline missions, where on the billionth Praetorium run every 3 minutes we are jamming our escape button and hitting accept. Give us the option to skip all cut scenes.

    7. The targeting system is still awful. I still do not understand why when tab targeting, it will cycle through mobs 40-50 yards away from you in the background. Creating a max range (the distance of ranged attacks, for example) for tab targeting would make everyone's life a million times easier.

    OP, I agree with a lot of what you are saying, but...

    I repair my gear all the time, actually. I only have Weaver to 50, but it still comes in very useful for repairing my crafting gear (much of which is cloth) and my main Job's gear (WHM/SCH gear is mostly cloth, as well). I DO agree that we should be able to repair in any class, or that there should at least be an easier way to figure out which gear needs repairing when we are in our craft.

    This is inaccurate. I can view and talk in both FC and Linkshells while in dungeons. The only time I'm not able to is when I'm actually loading into the dungeon, but even that is inconsistent (sometimes it doesn't work during the loading screen, sometimes it does).

    As far as I know, this is not the case. Chocobos are awarded their own set of XP separately from yours.

    They are actually quite competent healers, if you can make sure they stay out of the fire.

    But beyond that, I agree with everything else you've said.

    Wrong, while in a duty, you cannot view your FC tab or linkshell tab. You can still talk in your linkshell/FC, but you cannot send tells or check who is online. Which is another stupid restriction on top of the dozens already in the game that are severe quality of life annoyances.

    You can talk in your FC and ls while in duty but you cant view the FC and LS info while in Duty. Also on the stats being secretive, all i have to say is welcome to a FF MMO, it was that way in xi and in 1.0. Just have to get used to that

    this not correct the exp you get per kill is split in half. half going to you half going to the Chocobo.

    This is in fact the case. Kill a mob. Then kill the same mob with the chocobo out. You will only receive 75% of the normal exp you get. So not only do chocobos suck at their roles, but they also make you level slower for having them out. There is literally no point to summoning a chocobo other than to:

    A. Level the chocobo (pointless outside of a unique barding at max)
    B. Kill world mobs at level 50 (which are already easy to kill)
