When Can I Transfer to non-Legncy server?

Couldn't you just start an alt character from scratch? :/ I know it's not what you want, but compared to waiting for what feels like ages to be able to join your friends...

Observation: With the gil limitations and folks on non-Legacy servers having all classes at 50 already, it does not see what the issue is with the transfers.

You could. I myself transfered to a Legacy server from a non-Legacy to play with some RL friends and now said RL friends are too busy with work and whatnot so it would be nice if I could play with other friends that remained back in my old server. I ended up making a new toon for now to play with friends on my old server but it would be nice to have my i89 SCH instead of trying to regear everything from scratch.

Reply to Observation: I have to agree with this. I switched to a Legacy from a non-legacy and the changes were very dramatic. I noticed that the prices on the legacy were very very low compared to the non-legacy but while most would think that is showing that the legacy server would have less money, it means in MMO terms that they have more. Those crazy high priced items have been around longer and have way more into the system. It was hard to be a newcomer into the market because things were super cheap. Then a friend of mine wanted to join me and play but the server was full so I quit that server and went to another (non-legacy) and the prices are way higher for everything but nothing sells either because no one has the gil or doesn't need them because they are all already i50000 xD Seriously though switching servers was a culture shock. The non-legacy server was full of people with beautiful armor that glows and shines while the legacy is rare to see that...

I did this, as I mentioned above. Yes, it is a pain and super annoying that I leave my lots of gil and high level char for my friends but it was nice. We started together and have been having fun. Yeah it sucked and yeah I am annoyed at doing the same damn thing... I would have really liked a server transfer who am I kidding....
