I haven't done that yet. Just seems like it's the absolute last thing I should have to do when game was working just fine before the 2.1 patch.
I am having the same problem, and doing a clean install of Windows seems like a pretty drastic solve for this issue... I 've tried dns, un-tick read, etc... nothing seems to want to work.. And it was just working yesterday XD
Gotta run the issue to ground though. We don't know where it's originating (I'm of the opinion it's windows being a giant piece of crap, like Windows does). If you clean install and it works, you know it's a windows issue.
Same issue since maintenance. Sometimes I get to the login screen to get another error when I try to actually login. This is not a problem with my corrupt files if i get to different access points of logging in with different error messages. Bad servers.
Same problems here anyone got a solution?\
Finally got in, hit with random 9000 (-_- then 3002

Wait, what? I don't understand. You go to another network using a different machine and you get the same error? Do the error codes change?
Need more information.
Firewall/antivirus maybe? Try turning them off/port forwarding XIV/DMZ
With this game you control very little on the client side. The servers are the problem. If you do nothing eventually they will fix it. I do nothing with this error with the exception of reporting it. I suppose if you need to do something while you wait you can wipe your hard drive and reinstall everything. I would rather just wait it out.
No? If your boot file is corrupted it's not the servers fault, it's Windows (though MD5 indexing from the servers would help and allow for overwriting the bad file). If the files are locked down due to UAC/Permissions issues it's not the servers fault, it's Windows. If ICMP transfer is throttled and/or stopgapped it's not the servers fault, it's the firewall/antivirus of the machine/router or the ISP.With this game you control very little on the client side. Besides, the latency issue people are having isn't coming from the host. It's the path to the server that is having issues (Level3/TATA/Ormuco).
You're having issues on multiple machines on different LAN's? Mileage varies on this issue hence why troubleshooting and diagnosing is important.
Still having issues. I can't seem to get this fixed at all. I guess I'm just going to have to wait until SE fixes it? Lame. I'm not doing a full reinstall of Windows. That's outrageous. Everything else on my machine works fine.
Can't find a fix to the problem till the root cause is found.
I don't know what else to tell you. I'm offering free tech support to try to help out, but I can only tell you what I think and possible solutions given the situation. Executing, recording, and reporting is up to you. If you choose not to run the gamut, then you really don't have a leg to stand on to clamor to Square. It makes you an "End-User".
You could always call Geek Squad I guess.
