What is it like to be unable to clear all of the content?

What content has gated you, and for how long?
Typically brand new content gates me a while. I dont run with hardcore crews, but am a capable player. It becomes a sort of crapshoot where I try to land in teams who know what they are doing. As of right now, Garuda Extreme has blocked me for a bit. Before that it was Titan till people learned it. It can also be hard to find an Ultima Farming group that can actually farm, despite Ultima itself having fairly simple mechanics.


Why are you stuck here?
Every Garuda Extreme I've attended to has DPS/Healers dying to feathers or tanks not trading properly. Sometimes the DPS are undergeared with shockingly low ilvls and the sisters dont die fast enough. So I've taken a break from it till people learn it, like how Titan became far more possible after a month because it finally got hammered into peoples heads.


Are you upset about this? (if so - why? and how can content be added for more hardcore players such as myself without upsetting you.)
I wouldn't say upset, I begin to ask myself "why bother" after the 12th time hearing tanks flipping out on raidcall at each other and general bickering as people dont get the puzzle mechanic down. There is now a wider range of content so I move on to something else and check back in later.

Should any changes be made to the content to accomodate you and players like yourself?
I don't think anything needs to be done to accomodate me, but I do wish there was a way to balance fights into more "gradual" losses. The current system for many primal fights ends up as this:

One person messes up on a single detail and the fight is almost guaranteed to be lost.

This "do or die" mechanic that doesn't allow teamwork to compensate or "good saves" basically just turns each fight into a giant sort of puzzle, with everyone moving and pressing buttons in a very rigid pattern to "unlock" the victory. I like how in depth they can be but it sort of takes a lot of feel out of it being an actual fight. Its more like Simon Says. Blue, Blue, Green, Red, good work!

What kind of content would you like to see added in future patches for you to enjoy?
Larger fights, more relaxing content like affordable housing, gardening, choco breeding, useful fishing, etc. More flavor in the job table, new jobs.
