Pretty sure they said 6. 2.1 was an exception because it had content that was meant for release.

Don't know where you are getting your sources.

2.1 was an exception in being so long from launch (4 months), and that was largely because of the issues at launch. Everyone was granted a free month from launch (not counting CE free month) to compensate.

They have also said that the 2nd major patch would be vanity patch, and projected as 6 months from launch.
