Error 2002

I'm trying to log in with a new account i made for my gf and once it loads the game and i try to get to the character select screen i get error 2002, the lobby server connection has encountered an error. Any idea's what I can do to correct this?

I too am experiencing this, although I just moved to a new location and have a new ISP, so I'm only going to assume that my problems stems from that.

I read a thread elsewhere asking for ISP information. Mine seems like a small company local to my city (Chicago).

Too many players are trying to log in or your router needs the ports to open. But Im tempted to wait for a year to try again and play this game.

Having this problem as wekk, but no new router, no new character, etc. Just can't log in.

There could be many ways to solve it. But for me, forward port it doesnt work....allowing it through a firewall doesnt work, disabling the firewall doesnt work. Its an issue that Dev team should be really work on.

As far as I know, it's the update. I was playing last night with no problems, it wasn't until after the update that I had any issues. As it is, until I start to log in and there is another update, I know it won't work. Sucks that I have tomorrow off and could do a lot of quests tonight =/ They probably won't have it fixed for awhile, knowing how these things work.

Cannot log in and getting error code 2002. Hope this is resolved soon never had this problem before.

This had happen before, during and after the Beta days. Even after the full game came out, the Error 2002 and others created such a problem for players around the world. Sadly, I finally bought crysta and used it to buy a 30 day sub and cant use it because of this error. I kinda pin-pointed that it might be caused by my wifi usb antenna. Fix it soon Square Enix!!!!
