I don't think automatically sort the party list would be the solution. Tanks might be at the bottom where the list starts with dps.. Nothing changes should you want tanks at the top.. How hard is it for SE to understand that we want to set it to our own liking?.

For example: if Im on my tank I want: tank, tank, healer, healer, dps (who cares about dps right xD). On my healer: healer, healer, tank, tank, deeps. On my dps, it will list me on top always which is annoying.

Solution: a player can have a fixed "sort" (maybe per job?). Or is this so hard to program that we're talking about 2016 patch 5.0....
