what on earth makes you think we have been banned? this error occurred in beta

not the code tho ive never had this and im from the uk as well theres a few people who i know who have the error when ya type the code in help and support (thats what comes up) the banned stuff :/

Lol i was levelling archer all day. Im also from the uk. They had technical difficulties on 4 servers today already.

I havent had that issue yet, but the Error 2002 keeps coming up. Server congestion from what I found out, could be more. Please Squeenix fix this problem!!

well I wont expect any movement on this till the mods and techs at SE get out of bed tomorrow.
I will expect a minimum of 24 hours free play game time to account for their fault.

also have this problem. started happening a few hours ago and it is pretty frustrating. hope they fix this soon

I figured to give this a few months up to a year to see if they fix MOST of the problems by then.

Found this trawling around Reddit, worth trying, worked for me.

It's not ideal, but if you want to play the game delete your FFXIV_BOOT.cfg from My Games/FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn.
When you reload the launcher, you'll have to accept the terms, and click the "I already have a Square Enix account" button. At this point you'll be presented with the login form that's on the lodestone which is currently still working, afterwhich you'll be presented with the play button.
Signed - A guy who just spent 2 and a half hours trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist on his computer and only just saw the thread with other people experiencing this. ><
