I had this same problem when I tried to get on this morning as well. Whatever you do, do NOT try to reinstall your game- I tried doing this and it just made my problem worse; now I'm trying to reinstall the game, but it won't even let me do the initial update for the launcher. I just posted this thread a while ago http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...XIV-Boot-Error I hope someone can help me out or give me some information- my friend is playing the game right now so I'm not sure what's happening.
As of 12:30am Central. Was picking up fishing leves in the 35 range Coerthas when I 90k'd, then 2002 lobby server errored out.
Afterwards I started getting the "A system error has occurred: -2146697211"
If I enter the FFXIV_BOOT.cfg and change the B4EulaAgreement from 1 to 0 it lets me in for about 15 seconds then I 90k again. (this fix was found on reddit from when people had this occuring during beta). If I go back into this file and change it from 0 to 1 it also lets me back on briefly before 90k crashing again.
If I am getting the above system error message I cannot access these forums or the Loadstone from my home network for some reason. I tried on my cell as well.

I'm having this problem as well. PS3 version.
Since the update, I haven't been able to get into the game on PS3. Sometimes it will let me log in and get as far as the main menu before it tells me the server's not responding and kick me back to the launcher, which will load the frames, but not the login boxes or news/topic highlights.
Sometimes it will tell me to register the code that came with the box (already done a month ago) and then bring up the following message:
A system error has occurred: -2147309046.
Or sometimes I'll get this:
Unable to complete version check.
[20447][20448][10009][10019]
Or this:
The server is not responding.

Yes, I know there's a link right there for their customer support. I already tried it, it's utterly useless. I try searching for the error codes it gave me and it says they don't exist.
If I continue pressing X to try and get in, it just keeps feeding me error message after error message. I was able to sign in every day with no problems before the update, but after downloading and installing it, my game is pretty much dead.
I even tried deleting the game and reinstalling it, but that didn't fix it at all.
Is there any way to fix this? I just finished my free month and paid for a subscription, so now my money is literally being wasted on a game I can no longer play.
I'm getting this issue now, for the first time.
Is there any response from SE to how to solve this or a fix in place? I don't intend to re-install unless I have to.
I to am having issue with launching the game.
Cant login at all.
I'm getting "Unable to complete version check" and then there are a list of errors (30410, 30607, 20459, 10009, 10019).
I tried uninstalling the game, that didn't work.
I have looked over the firewall settings and there is no problem there.
Any ideas ?
I was logged in loaded into halatali lost all sound the rest of my party was fine. So at 22.40 i logged out to start screen still no sound. Exited the game completely got that exact same error.
Since the update ive had very bad lag spikes but no errors till tonight been on all day today and noticed a large number of players dc'in consistently on my server.
Hope they fix it soon was enjoying levelling archer lol
I know it sounds silly but is this there way of banning people and if so why have we been banned no email or anything ive paid money to enjoy this game and to log on and get this silly error text and no reason as to why this is happening!!
Prohibited Activities in Final Fantasy XIV
Prohibited Activities in Final Fantasy XIV
Prohibited Activities
Disruptive behaviour that negatively affects the experience of other players or the service itself is strictly forbidden. Such activities violate the FINAL FANTASY XIV User Agreement as well as the SQUARE ENIX Account Terms of Use. Players found to be committing prohibited activities within FINAL FANTASY XIV may be penalized by SQUARE ENIX in accordance with the “Account Penalties” guideline found here.
The list of activities below is meant to give the player an understanding of the types of activities that are prohibited within FINAL FANTASY XIV. This list has been provided to our players as a general guideline and is not intended to be exhaustive. When in doubt, we urge our players to err on the side of caution.
Harassment
Our Definition of Harassment
The use of inappropriate and offensive language in general, or against another player is considered harassment and is strictly prohibited. Using offensive language for character and retainer names, or using inappropriate words in the character’s first and last names is also considered harassment. All claims of harassment are evaluated on a case by case basis. If harassment is found, the account penalty will be issued to all players who involve in the harassment. Some examples of the type of language that would qualify as “harassment” are as follows:
•language that is generally considered unacceptable in a public place
•language that is intended to harm or harass a third party
•language that promotes the discrimination of any race, nationality, religion, sexual orientation or gender
There may be inappropriate conduct that does not fit into any of the above categories that may be considered harassment and as such would constitute an actionable offense.
Inappropriate Behaviour
Our Definition of Inappropriate Behaviour
Behaviour that does not fall under the harassment category but is intended to prevent or hinder game play for others is considered inappropriate. Examples of inappropriate behaviour are spamming, gridlocking and scamming. FINAL FANTASY XIV respect individual player’s unique play style. However, SQUARE ENIX may take action against players whose style of play prevents other players from game play.
Spam
Spamming (or spimming) is the act of using open chat channels to excessively repeat the same phrase or action. Spamming prevents other players from chatting or otherwise reading their chat logs effectively.
Gridlocking
Gridlocking refers to a player or group of players that gather in a passage in an attempt to prevent others from entering.
Scamming
In-game scams are defined as any inappropriate actions meant to defraud a fellow player with the intent to take in-game items or other possessions from them.
Activities that destroy game balance
Activities that destroy game balance
Using third party programmes or tools in FINAL FANTASY XIV is strictly prohibited since they allow users to gain an unfair advantage over other players. The use of programmes or tools within FINAL FANTASY XIV that allow certain continuous actions to be performed automatically are often referred to as absentee play, which is also prohibited in FINAL FANTASY XIV. Additionally and without limitation, during the course of an absentee play investigation, players may be requested to respond to or comply with a game master’s instruction. Failure to do so is considered a violation and may result in disciplinary action being taken against the account.
The following activities are also prohibited.
•Modifying, analysing, integrating and reverse engineering game data
•Utility creation and distribution
•Exploiting SQUARE ENIX programming that does not run as intended to gain profit or damage other players
Real Money Trading (RMT)
Our Definition of RMT
RMT is defined as the selling and buying of virtual assets for real-world money. Virtual assets can include without limitation:
•Accounts
•Characters
•In-game Currency (Gil)
•In-game Services
•In-game items
Items and GIL obtained illegally through 3rd party tools or RMT activities can affect the game’s economic stability and can disrupt the game play balance. Some 3rd party programmes contain viruses and spyware that can be harmful to other players unbeknownst to the 3rd party program user. This can lead to a leak of a user’s personal data, character deletion, or other unfortunate circumstances. We have a zero tolerance policy for RMT.
Sharing or Lending Account Information
Our Definition of Sharing or Lending Account Information
The sharing or lending of account or login information (such as your Square Enix ID and/or password) to another player is strictly prohibited by the FINAL FANTASY XIV User Agreement. Sharing or lending your account may cause you to unexpectedly lose access to your account to a third party.
Impersonation
Our Definition of Impersonation
Impersonation is defined as, creating and using a character with a name similar or identical to SQUARE ENIX employees, or fraudulently claiming to be a SQUARE ENIX employee.
Accounts that are found to be compromised may have their access restricted until such a time as the registered owner can be identified.
