    I'm glad to see I'm not the only person having this problem. For a while now I've honestly just thought it was a problem with my computer. Such a massive pain though as you said Wobbler with the way the lag is, it makes running things like CT and Coil just impossible. At the moment I'm getting around it with Battleping like FirstAidCat mentioned, but it's not the best of fixes as I'm using the trial version so I get 90K error'd out of the game every 20 minutes.
    It's a real shame the way Square-Enix seem to just ignore their customers, I must have sent about 7/8 bug reports since I started playing this game and I've only ever gotten a reply about one of those and it never got fixed none the less. Yet someone on their staff found the time to delete and warn me about a forum post I did defending Square from a torrent of people getting annoyed about maintenance downtimes. So they have the time to tell me off for posting on a forum but they don't have the time to fix major lag issues within their game? Really makes me wonder if the Customer Service offices at Square-Enix even have any employees.

    thanks wobbler! i've been on the phone with fios for about an hour, helping them construct a comprehensive ticket regarding this matter. the tech support individual was able to locate your original ticket and included that number in my ticket for reference.

    please, all fios users, do the same. this will not get resolved by itself.

    include wobbler's ticket as well as mine for reference, cross referencing to show them how huge this issue is becoming for their subscribers!

    FIOS blew me off entirely

    I tried contacting Verizon FIOS about the problem. They didn't have any information about the ticket number provided. So the tech said anyhow. I asked for the problem to be forwarded to a higher tech, he flat out refused.

    In their defense though the problem I was seeing occurred outside Verizon's network.

    Currently on the phone with Verizon FiOS, and I've referenced both tickets. Will update once I'm off of the phone with them with additional details.

    10:25 PM Update.

    Guy called over to the SSC Technicians for assistance, and they've been pouring over the data in both of the tickets listed in this thread. My guy I got is now reaching out to both technicians each ticket was assigned to for further instructions or possible escalation paths.

    10:40 PM Update.

    There was two things that my technician came away with when he spoke to his network technicians.

    1. It's a problem with the game and how it's doing its thing. (prior to the Christmas Eve patch I had no problems. Friends did however.)

    2. SE isn't paying for a tier of bandwidth allotment to support their customer base, and as a result packets are being dropped to keep them in their "current" pay model. This seemed interesting as many of my friends including myself always have these issues around peak NA time.

    I have an email coming to me that sums up the whole conversation with Verizon, and I guess I could upload that if that would be of use. Verizon was also a bit perplexed that both tickets were open since they were able to verify that the issue is outside of their network.

    I contacted Verizon, they said they are unable to do anything about this as the issue is with Level 3. Verizon advised that Square needs to work with Level 3. I referenced the original ticket in this thread, and also had my own created.

    I've opened a ticket with SE on this as well via email, and plan on calling them tomorrow. I am no longer able to do Coil/HM/EX because of this issue and it has made me play much less over the last week. I was considering unsubscribing until I saw this and that other people are having this issue as well. ae-10-10.car2.Montreal2.Level3.net [4.69.153.86] is where I have been having problems for around 3 weeks.

    EDIT: Please open a ticket with SE about this if you have this problem and have not already!

    I talked to normal tech support and "premium tech support". They both could not find anything when i referenced the ticket numbers, stating they don't see anything or they need the name or phone number of the account to see any info. They both had no idea what to do. Everything else works fine for me, youtube, other games no lag, just FF so that is why I think they did not know what to do. One of the tech guys said something about game algorithm thing you can turn off on your computer to improve latency but it will lag your browsing a bit. Basically though I got nowhere :/
