    Brass Plate +3

Does anyone know which mobs offer the best chance of dropping a brass plate +3. YG and ZAM seem to be a little at odds on this. Having spent about 3 hours killing Dapper Cadavers and so far today killing Rotting Corpses they both tend to drop primarily iron goods. Any help would be sincerely appreciated.

Nevermind, one dropped from a Rotting Corpse, not an HQ of course lol. Maybe YG is correct - says Cadavars have a better drop rate, but by my accounts it sure isn't 12.5% lol.

if the drop rate on a plate is 10%(its probly more like 1% yg isnt very accurate)
you can bet the drop rate on a +3 is a small fraction of even that

I'm sure I read somewhere that +3 plates don't drop. Some items in this game only drop as NQs. I mean in all my time farming crab shells I've never seen a silver fish hook +3 but seen hundreds of NQs. Never seen a weapon head of any kind drop as +3 either, not just the NM ones. I imagine most crafted items don't drop as +3s.

i know several crafted items that drop as +3 from mobs
so may not be the case

on rare drops, its even rarer to see an HQ is what it really is imo

    Chains can drop +3s.
    Ingots can drop +3s.
    Cloth parts can drop +3s.
Not heard the shell gladiators say anything about plate farming though. Plate is a processed ingot though. It would be a little broken to bypass ore to nuggets, nuggets to ingots and ingots to plates and just go straight to a plate+3.

If you were to try to craft a plate+3, there'd be a mountain of **** behind it that wasn't.

    Hi zzapp,

Brass Plate HQ doesn't drop from mobs. As others have said, not every item in the game has an HQ version dropped from a mob. Brass Plate is one of them.

The % you see on YG is for Normal Quality Brass Plate. If you click on the mob itself, or the "+3" Hyperlink, you'll see there are no hits on it. From multiple friends who've farmed undead for weeks upon weeks, they've never had a Brass Plate +3 drop (from the early days 'till even last week).

Thank you everyone, after essentially a full (and I mean full) day of looking for the +3 drop (I did actually get 5 NQ) I believe you're all right in that this doesn't drop. I think YG may sometimes just +3 drops across the board without any substantiation.

Tons of mobs do drop tons of +3 items, and from a crafting perspective, worth pursuing on items one is looking to HQ. For example, for the ice brand I'm looking to HQ, I was able to finally get and Eye of Ice +3 after quite a few NQ drops.

Thanks again for everyone's kind guidance.

    Hi Eli,

    No worries.

To be fair in regards to YG, they added in a +3 Brass Plate because it does exist... you just have to Craft it.

If you click the +3 Hyperlink on Brass Plate's page, you'll see the "Dropped By" option disappears, since there are no monsters that drop it, and all that remains is a "Created By" via crafting.

    Good luck!

+3 plate as a drop does (or did) exist from one of the 65-70ish undead mobs in LL area. This was quite some time ago that we farmed them and quite possibly changed much in the same way Haubergeons were removed as a drop. Just to test if they still do drop we went back to the same mobs and farmed for a few hours and got nada.

Just as a point of refrence: chain +3 is pretty processed as well. Even more so then plates.
