What do you want to see in the Katagami (vanity) system?

It's kind of ironic.

We will all be trying to be original snowflakes by wearing the same few popular costumes in this game.

1)bikini's
2)Snowmen, lots of snowmen... and reindeer
3)other out of season outfits
4)A few will stick to wearing gear sets out of dungeons that they collected... like the brayflox set, satasha sets or the coliseum sets.

So, we will be limited by a different set of limited gear sets in appearance... basically the odd looking ones... Eorzea will be a land of oddballs...

If they are going to bring out a vanity system, they should also release a large amount of new costume outfits to go with it. At least, if any of you that played Rift, might know what I'm talking about. Except Rift made you pay like 10$ per costume :/

Yeah, I just want it to be quick. It doesn't have to be anything special or nuanced...simple enough to easily make changes to it on the fly and preferably wherever you are. I really don't wanna have to run to an NPC over and over just for it.

id hope for all slots to just be covered up by vanity, with the option to simply toggle it on and off for players and yourself.

Foestrikers body
Valor everything else

My only wish for the vanity system is that there will be more armors and outfits designed for appearance rather than stats. We already have a few with the cute craftable winter-wear, so it's not so foolish to think that they'll add more. In that respect, crafting gets a much-needed boost, perhaps with rare items required for some of the more obscure or unique equipment, and without needing to give us i90 recipes.

Toggle button so people quit crying and then another toggle button so the other even more boring people that form half of that group to set the "clone every class and race" button so we all look alike to them.

Then I wanna see bikini tanks and plate armored wizards.

I would also like to be able to change the appearance of weapons, somewhere flexible while not ridiculous. Tanks should not be able to wield pot lids as shields. Nor barn doors.

Aditionally I would prefer if it was just secondary gear slots, where the final appearance of your set is what is equipped or set on that slot. Having that slot empty would either show the armor you are wearing udnerneath or show as if you were not wearing anything there.

In short I want a flexible vanity system with a toggle option.

This is a nice idea, saving the crafters.

Yeah, though the double slots might be tricky in the way that if you wanna show your armor that you are wearing. You could make it with a tick box to disable this slot appearance in vanity, and keep it towards if it's enabled an empty it shows your character not wearing anything! I think that would fix that and make the double slots plus extra inventory space a nice solution

Specially if you can have multiple sets saved in the wardrove tab. So that you don't take extra inventory space just for your other classes' vanity sets. Since this would prove an incovenience.
