What do you want to see in the Katagami (vanity) system?

So. What are you guys hoping to see in the upcoming vanity system? A basic cover system? Stat replacement? A toggle so you can see what people are really wearing?

What do you plan to wear? Just a different set of armor you prefer? Casual gear? Impractical swimsuits and other fun but gaudy event gear?

Personally I prefer just a simple slot to put in class relevant armor. I've never been to keen on the whole "sacrifice this armor so that armor can get its stats" thing. And if I get the option, I'm sticking with the look of the Gallant gear set.

Tanking in coliseum gear and the black rabbit Kabuto all day, every day. I am the Gimp Samurai.

I would prefer a system like WoWs transmog where we pay an amount of gil to copy an armor's appearance onto our current gear. I have little faith that they would make such a system easy on the wallet though considering their logic on what is "affordable".

I hope a basic cover system. Nothing of stat replacement. I'd be going for more normal looking gear, and hopefully they make weapons and accessories also be part of the vanity system.

Ya I'm hoping for a cover system. I don't want to use up some gear that's really hard to get then upgrade my gear and have to get it again.

However it eventually works, I hope that switching vanity gear is quick.

What I'd love to see is a second armor set tab that's just for vanity sets. Depending on your current class/job, the sets with gear that are compatible for that class/job get highlighted and you can select any of those sets to change your appearance to that set. So let's say you're a WAR and you're decked out in your i90 coil gear. You could quickly and freely switch between a set of gear that contains your Cavalry gear, your AF, and some generic plate armor, all without losing the stats of your i90 coil gear.

I also wish they would allow us to craft dungeon-gear looking sets too. JJut iimagine a battle mage gear set in white or red

I don't really agree with a vanity system. Something that they've made out so big seems to have a lot of time/effort put into it that could have gone to something more important. While some gear IS fugly I couldn't care less. I'm pretty sure I won't be using this at all.

While Coliseum gear is great for laughs, especially those few levels you wear it as an actual upgrade, I think *most* people have other looks they'd prefer. I am a big fan of the Bliaud (there is one particular one I like, can't remember which) and the Acolyte Skirt (which covers more than the Coliseum gear or the WHM AF pants).
