How long does it take for lodestone to update?

Hi, I was just wondering how long it takes for the lodestone to update your character. I noticed it's been 24 hours so was curious at the average wait time. I just started using the feature.

From all my time playing since 1.0, my character never updated while I was logged in. I have to relog and only then (after a few minutes) it updates my character to the status he was when I logged out.

So if you left the game on for 24 hours straight, that might be the reason while it didn't update. You don't have to stay logged out for it, just relog, I guess the action of logging out sends your character status into the lodestone servers (again, it's never right away, takes a few minutes).

This... though sometimes it may take longer, like it did when the game was new... but those are server delays. for changes to take effect you need to relog as he said.

Well depends, the picture or the gear? I think the picture is only updated like once or twice a day and the rest is more frequently. Also, need to be logged out or something. I dont think its based on how long you been logged out either, but updated at certain times each day. (Ie on the hour but not sure if that's the time). I've seen where sometimes gear has been updated within few minutes after log in and other times like an hour or two. And then pictures like said earlier I think is only a couple or few times a day.

Thank you for the replies everyone. It finally updated I guess there was just some sort of weird delay. I didn't have the game running and it was the picture, gear, and my levels. It took about a day and a half for it to update.

It seems to take longer to update after major patches
