Why are we getting more retainers?

It was stated during the last live letter that we would be getting a 3rd retainer "shortly" after patch 2.1. I now figure.. they are either debating it or coding how this 3rd retainer would work differently than the normal 2 we have now. I just need the space.. i dont care if it comes from a retainer or if they add more tabs on current retainers.. as a crafter I have a ton of crafting supplies and I have no space for much else let alone if I would like to stockpile a few items just so I dont have to keep the routine of, farm items.. craft mats.. use mats right then.. repeat a few days later.

I would love another retainer for the space AND to sell. But I just wish that the clowns would stop bringing down the market.

It's rare to find something you can sell for a decent price. I barely break even crafting my way up the levels... granted I hate gathering so that doesn't help.

But my only real complaint is the people who damage the already lame market system that we have. I'll find something to sell for a couple thousand gil, it's going ok for a week or two, then someone will add to the listing but they'll drop the price down to like 200 gil. What is the point of that? Competitive pricing is fine, but why would you drop it down so low that it's almost worthless?

I hear ya on the undercutting, that's a whole other issue. I've been trying to sell a couple items for weeks now, only to find their constantly undercut. And it's not just the .01 undercuts, it's the huge slashes that don't make much sense.

I'm excited to have another retainer, if just for the storage space. I craft and gather all classes, so I have some inventory management issues. I have one retainer with just food items, and another with everything else. Plus, my inventory usually only has 5 empty spots.

Well the undercutters will now be able to sell 50% more items. Not good for the economy. If there was moderately sufficient demand for items undercutting would be rendered pointless. Will supply taking an even larger rise, expect profit margins to continue to tumble. Now you will just have to craft even more to make the same profits and everyone will have to undercut until it sells.

I, at times, break some of the prices that are ridiculously silly high, so silly stupidily dumbly high that it makes no sense to keep them that way. Prices have to be *realistic* not put up a price just because a pair of breeches lvl 5 for 10k gil? come on.....be realistic (as much as possible of course).

So yes, it happens to me to break prices by far, now, I also want my stuff to be sold fast, since I collect everything myself I can to some extend aford to place prices slightly (as opposed to previous paragraph) lower then the market. I dont see where the problem is....people chose what tehy want to spend...eh?

When SE do let you have a 3rd and maybe a 4th retainer (later down the road), they disable the ability to sell on them. Selling 40 items is enough from your 2 retainers, they're no need for players to be able to sell more. My reason for this is so we don't have RMTs selling on that one account, sure it's not much a difference overall but at least it won't clog the market as much. More so if they hijack multiple accounts or made more accounts.

If by some chance SE don't give us a 3rd retainer I would settle for a mimic chest that can be summon by you for when you're doing crafting and need it to hold the extra mats. Or a golem that hold more items like a retainer but it can't sell.
