You have culinarian at 50. But do you also craft food regularly? Or do you use the other crafters more because they don't need so many items?http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...acter/1044494/
I'll get right on that.
Needing to manage your inventory slightly isn't a bad thing.
It was before it got pulled in 1.0.
I also keep a collection of vanity gear. The secret is don't hold onto what you don't need and you don't over craft what you aren't going to use immediately. If anyone is having problems now they are going to have problems with 3 retainers too.
Since my home is in gridania I've found that if I stick to only keeping the random limsa things I may need for crafting I can quickly go harvest everything else that I only need a few of. Been slowly weeding out the really dumb crafting things that are easy to get ahold of.
End-game food (the level 4X ones and their 2 star equivalents) use exactly 63 unique ingredients. I'll be more than happy to post an exhaustive list if anyone asks. Unless you have every unique vanity set from dungeons/CT, you should have space for that or you have too much junk you can toss, so stop using CUL as an excuse.
With that said, I'm foreseeing use for a third retainer if SE releases new vanity sets to complement the vanity system.

really?
I don't see why we need more for any reason. There's already a harsh cap to gil you can transfer between servers sowhy even make more than 1.5 mil at this point unless you're trying to save up for FChousing.
More than economic uselessness I'm wondering who wants to do all that accounting at once?! I mean is that good gameplay?
I'm certainly glad we're out of 6 timed slots seen in XI but I don't see how more slots can help the economy.
Currently there's a massive over supply tesulting in all items being next to worthless. Now you're giving the players a tool to massively boost their capability to sel even larger amount of items.
A better option would be 'Transfer Item to <Retainer Name>' in the drop-down menu while accessing a retainer's inventory so the retainer can ship the item to the other one for storage. The space taken for three retainers is about the same as two larger or even one even larger retainer. The volume isn't as much an issue as the amount of resources it requires to pull one larger inventory table up as opposed to three separate smaller inventory tables. I agree switching between more than one retainer is a pain and we should be sent back to the initial choice of which retainer to access, but increasing the retainer's inventory is actually a worse solution.
Nice, a retainer to throw all my primal weapons on
Where are you getting the new retainer info from? Didn't see anything in the patch notes.
It isn't in the patch notes anywhere. /ignore
