Why are we getting more retainers?

I don't even see a reason to have more retainers. They only need to make the armoire actually do its job consistently and not a month or 2 later.

As a crafter, I'm looking forward to getting a third retainer (and I don't even want extra MB spots, I spend enough time crafting as is and never have all my slots ocupied anyway). Though it is true that I could make a selection of what to keep on my retainer and what to toss out. There are definitely items on my retainers that I'll never use again since they're for low level synths.

Why not make an inventory system like the one in GW2 where your crafting materials dont really occupy space and instead are all available at all times? God knows how seriously fulfilling it was to open that tab and see ALL your crafting items, and how many you had of each.

A million times this. I loved how they had this setup for crafting mats. I also loved how the crafting stations "held" your materials and so you didn't have to go retrieve them first.

They're probably annoyed because it's a bad system to expand upon, not because they are anti storage space. I agree the retainers are awful, but the thousands of threads on server structure and PS3 should answer why this is the system we are stuck with. I would not place any bets on ever having a proper one-stop-shop banking system. The hardware can't handle loading so much at once.

Agreed. Market supply is already too much, this will make it worse. Prices will fall after this patch even more. Everyone could use more storage space, but this is a bad way to do it. I keep looking at that armoire in my inn room thinking "oh that looks nice, wish I could use it."

How can you complain about more space... I have all crafts leveled my one retainer holds normal stuff retainer 2 holds HQ stuff and my inventory is stacked solid... I've needed nothing but space since the beginning...

I don't disagree that we need a better way to go through retainer inventory, but to everyone complaining about spending a lot of time searching through them, do you just dump items onto them? I categorize everything (e.g. reagents into Retainer 1 Tab 1, Cloths into Retainer 2, Tab 4, etc.) and spend almost no time finding what I need.
