I dunno why people keep saying Ifrit is hard for melee?

So ranged have issues with being tied to a tank and not being able to reach anything to dps? Interesting.
There are ways around wicked wheel but 99% of all people at that level are to stupid to do any of those strats. There is nothing anyone can do to deal with melee getting tied to the tanks.
The nails at the upper left and right are usually sitting there for melee and ot's and even range to work on since melee can not initially start on them without risk of getting breathed on. So smart groups start the clockwise rotation one over. If you are tanking at a 'V' shape, you can just sit opposite MT and wack the upper nail as you get chained. Even ranged can do this. Not to mention many groups prefer that all DPS stack on the melee as they wind around nails. So ranged have issues with being tied to a tank and not being able to reach anything to dps? Interesting.

So you move to the nail to the left of Ifrit instead of going clockwise with the group. How is that an issue, or hard, at all? I've beaten Ifrit EM as Monk, I know how the fight goes.So ranged have issues with being tied to a tank and not being able to reach anything to dps? Interesting.

Because you are 100% dependent on everyone else you your group to work around you for garuda/ifrit. I have had multiple tanks, ranged and heals kill me on ifrit and tanks regularly kill me on garuda.
I have beaten all the EX primals as monk. Doesn't mean that being a melee on those fights is a good idea.

In Truth Melee are having it Rough in Arr, We have to deal with not doing as much DPS as other classes, and even then we need to use extremely long rotations just to compensate for the little Damage we deal. I have to have someone use eye for an eye and Apocotastasis on me just to survive that wicked wheel BS on Garuda ex. If other players have to put that much work into having a melee in your team why have one. IN FACT MOST MELEE HAVE A HARD TIME BEING MULTIPLES IN PARTY FINDER PARTY FOR THIS REASON. If SE really reads this form, do something about this. Because im not posting to whine about bullshit this IS a problem, Dragoon is my main and im really good at it, Let me shine in my group rather then just be there to limit.
Nope, you're not good at it if you don't know how to deal with this situation.
I've never had a single problem in Garuda EX and Ifrit EX. That is if you and your partymates got brain to actually understand what's happening and not just whack your way around.
It's true that Range classes are easier in some case, but that doesn't mean that this is something that SE should be alarmed about.

I think it's more the fact that on the final nail phase the ranged can just stack in the middle and dps all the nails down from there.
This means no messing about with healers running around swapping places and trying not to howl the party to death (they can just stand at 3 and 9 positions for the entire duration), easier tank swaps because everyone is already in range of each other, and easier healing.
