    Yeah, most of the complaints I've read about the ranged being overpowered with super high DPS all seems like they could easily be fixed by making it so that melee DPS can survive taking a hit better, so they could keep up their maximum DPS up much longer. Because, by numbers melee still does better DPS in fights.

    The reason why melees are having a hard time dealing with Garuda EX / Ifrit EX is they don't know what they're doing.

    Another strat to make Garuda EX easier on Melee, Healers, and Tanks:

    Normal through tornados, then:

    MT takes Garuda and Spiny to NW
    OT takes Supurna to NE
    DPS and Healers take Chirada to SW

    Healers don't have the stress of MT taking a shitload of DMG and double WWs. DPS and Healers should focus target Chirada to watch for slip stream, and they shouldn't get a WW, if they do Succor+Fey+Medica. DRGs jump/MNKs shoulder tackle to Sup, then to Garuda.

    I thought that this was going to be too stressful on the healers, but they said it was quite a bit easier than trying to heal through Chirada on OT and double WWs on MT.

    Just some food for thought, I guess the JP servers do it this way.

    I understand your frustration. Generally, though, it's the tanks that make or break this fight. That aside, you can't expect too many mechanics that wrek ranged dps like you can with melee. Reasoning? You've got to take in to account healers and their cast times. Things that would wrek or interrupt ranged dps more often would also screw the healers over....and in turn screw the tank. At least most of the things that wrek melee have a tell tale sign to allow us to dodge.

    Probably because you tunnel vision on the boss and don't pay any attention to anything else. I bet you'd be one of those people that run to the healer with searing wind during eruption on ifrit extreme ranged dps or not.

    There are ways around wicked wheel but 99% of all people at that level are to stupid to do any of those strats. There is nothing anyone can do to deal with melee getting tied to the tanks.
    So you move to the nail to the left of Ifrit instead of going clockwise with the group. How is that an issue, or hard, at all? I've beaten Ifrit EM as Monk, I know how the fight goes.

    Because you are 100% dependent on everyone else you your group to work around you for garuda/ifrit. I have had multiple tanks, ranged and heals kill me on ifrit and tanks regularly kill me on garuda.

    I have beaten all the EX primals as monk. Doesn't mean that being a melee on those fights is a good idea.

    In Truth Melee are having it Rough in Arr, We have to deal with not doing as much DPS as other classes, and even then we need to use extremely long rotations just to compensate for the little Damage we deal. I have to have someone use eye for an eye and Apocotastasis on me just to survive that wicked wheel BS on Garuda ex. If other players have to put that much work into having a melee in your team why have one. IN FACT MOST MELEE HAVE A HARD TIME BEING MULTIPLES IN PARTY FINDER PARTY FOR THIS REASON. If SE really reads this form, do something about this. Because im not posting to whine about bullshit this IS a problem, Dragoon is my main and im really good at it, Let me shine in my group rather then just be there to limit.

    I don't think WW is that bad :/ I mean, you pick up Supra, DPS her face off, wait for her to finish casting Friction, walk away (general rule of thumb is that standing behind the pillars is a good distance) she WWs, walk back in and DPS, rinse and repeat. The twister phase you just have your tank move her to one of the safe corners while the DPS kills her and then runs away to the opposite corner after Friction.

    Also, Chirada does not heal Garuda over time just as Suparna does not give Garuda a damage buff. THE MORE YOU KNOW!!! Help dissolve the misinformation!
