You mean that less skilled player who causes Nidhogg to flail and wipe the entire raid? One mistake and its done, other LS gets the prize. Titan is nothing compared to that..
I just don't like the reason for these fights to be hard is having to rely on 7 others to play near perfect in order to win. MMO's I've played DCUO, FFXI pre abyssea, and Neverwinter didn't feel this way and yet they manage to make hard content. Skill players have more effect on the out come of fights and not as skilled players are less of a liability. .
Boobies - that is all = )

Titan HM is not hard. The hardest part is finding 7 other people that are competent enough to complete it.
My best advice level BLM and do the primals. You will learn ever pattern. Why? Because if you want to do any damage you will need to know when to stand to get a couple extra casts off. For example, In Ultima HM, The first set of plumes is outer then inner, so you prep by standing in first. The 2nd set is inner outer, however, there is a special spots on the outside where you can tottaly avoid the plumes by standing in, thus allowing you to cast uninterrupted.
I had 170+ runs to get Titan HM, mostly because people left after 1 or 2 fails. Someone explained it, lines work that those with a similar line as mine, same computer as mine living in the US (I am in Europe) will see the action before I do, thus when I react, aka when I see it on my screen, it is already too late, more then not I have been hit even if i was miles away from the plummets or landslide. It isnt lag, everything was fluid, all moves were properly happening. Allowing 1 or 2 sec more, could help. Reaction times are something we do not control, there has to be an adjustement in values that should be sorted out. I got my relic, I dont go in Titan HM, I cant, so this yes limits my enjoyment of the game, by alot. Titan isnt hard as such but there is a reason why a vaste majority of people cant do it or require weeks at end to do it. Being bad or a poor player shouldnt be a reason to throw you out of a game, as some of you in this thread suggest, stupidily at that.

It is a challenge and frustrating... but a rehashed primal is not imo "content". You have seen the Titan fight... there's nothing you miss by not completing it in HM or EX.
A relic is not content, it's a reward.
It would be one thing, if you weren't able to see the primals at all, because of high end gated content... but you see them as part of the main story. After that, they are all the same but with different abilities. That is not denying content to anyone. (..and I am a casual)

I can fully understand people's frustration with Titan HM. There are a good few mechanics which can shut down a party's chances of beating him, skills which can instantly remove a party member from the remainder of the fight and his heart phase requires strong DPS. That's not to say I'd like to see him nerfed however.
As much as I do understand those frustrations, it's also a taste of what's to come later. In a way, Titan eases you into that tougher content with his fight mechanics. In fact, I'd argue the actual Titan fight eases you into his OWN mechanics... hear me out.
1) His first major skill he may use is landslide. During this time you are knocked back but CANNOT fall off the arena due to the edges.
2) After the edges fall away he begins using Weight of the Land, giving you some practice dodging his new ability.
3) He adds the new mechanic of dropping bombs (in different layouts) in the next phase, along with the gaols which need to be destroyed.
All this is done BEFORE the heart phase even arrives.
4) He begins to combine these skills, such as dropping bombs and using Landslide. The bombs drop in a different pattern, but still follow the same rules as the original ones.
In this regard, I think Titan is actually one of the smarter bosses they've added. He doesn't immediately smack you in the face with insta-death like some FFXI bosses did, and each phase gives you the chance to learn his moves. The more eagle-eyed players could probably beat him in one clean run assuming they had decent DPS. In my opinion, the strong DPS requirement is the only major hurdle faced by DF groups, and not so much learning his mechanics.

Lol try getting a relic weapon in FFXI. Getting a good group to beat titan is difficult, but far from impossible. Relics should be difficult to get.
I personally wouldn't mind if the boss fights are easier as long as they remain fun.
For example, the first battle with Ultima Weapon is very easy, but it's also a very fun fight that keeps you moving. I'm fine with that. I don't mind that it's easy because it's just plain fun.
