best to proceed with titan fight, practice, and practice, the more you play and makes titan easer and you will be better to avoid, but then there may be some tiny lag spike that happens.

I improved 'my own dance among bombs, plumes and landslide. Today the only thing I can die of dps is not fast at the heart phase or 8 stomp to death
As healer on titan can be hard i respect that, as dps and tank is a joke.

I don't see the issue with titan HM being hard (it's not imo). People don't like to work for things these days, they just like to be handed stuff because they pay a monthly fee. If you can't beat titan HM, then practice it. If your internet is getting in the way, then upgrade it if you can. If you can't, then there's nothing that can be done, that's how the world goes 'round. I'm running on a high-end computer with fast internet, and even then I still get hit by stuff, and I occasionally have to deal with the "BUT I WAS OUT OF IT" thing, but I don't go and blame SE for something that's completely fixable by me. Sure, they have some server issues, but I want to see you start a huge company like SE and then manage millions of accounts all at once and have a perfect server connection with everyone. It's impossible.

While I don't think the game should be changed so that the fight cannot be lost, I feel a tweak or two to the difficulty would be helpful. Not all players have the reflexes of an air force pilot. I know an autistic player who has been my friend since when I started FFXI in 2006. In FFXI, though with slightly slower reaction than other players, as a back line DD he could still do endgame content. Here instead, where everything is based on position and screwing up one time can call for failure, he is pretty much banished from HM primal fights, and possibly other content I am yet unaware of (I'm only lv45). It took me a month to find people able to help him with titan Story Mode, because he kept getting kicked for not dodging landslide in time. As much as it is our responsibility to play at our best, SE should remember about this kind of players too. To pay other players with gil to do the game for you while you're forced to sit back and watch can feel humiliating.

There's always going to be someone who is left out, they can't cater to everyone. Don't get me wrong I feel bad for your friend, but it's a very delicate balance between just hard enough and trivial. While I'm sure that the HM primals will eventually be trivial to the majority, the game is still new in its current state so I can't see that reasonably happening at this point in time. Best I can say is for your friend to try to enjoy the other aspects of the game until it is adjusted down to a level he is able to handle.

And again I do feel bad, it's just that's how things work nowadays.

Problem isn't the content is too hard. The problem is THERE IS NO REASON TO DO IT. Extreme modes are not hard a damn bot could do it since like EVERY SINGLE fight in the game it is completely scripted there is very little to no random elements. And extreme modes have no purpose except to gear off classes there is no progression in it. In fact there is no progression in the entire game since they just let you gear up full ilvl 90 gear with tomes. The only real progression is a couple items for accuracy or a preferred stat from allagan and the ilvl 95 weapons. Which with the flaky player base FFXIV gots is way more work then its worth.

As for titan HM, I agree, I was like 0/50, Could win. Lag issue or other issue or bad players who knows.

Patch 2.1 happen lag issue mostly all gone but not all.


2/2 on premade party of someone I randomly met before 2.1 came out.
1/1 using Party Finder.
Ya I was ilevel 70+ at the time, but got the job done. And I see more and more people running around with relic, so Titan can't be the block he once was.


As for ilevel, I agree it should be high.

It's an MMO. If they completely cater the game to allow EVERYONE to beat things, what's the point? Everything in the game is scripted and readable. Take the time and patience to learn it. Once you have the pattern down its a cake walk.
Your post would read: give us more challenging encounters if you could smash everything the first time.

Everyone can say what they want but no fight should be so unforgiving that one person or two wiping can ruin the whole run is stupid. Titan can be done with 4 people and I think even 3 now on Hard Mode...but they are overgeared...if you have a "normal" group go in that is at the ilevel required (which is low in my opinion) if one dps is down you lose on heart phase every time. This is not really a test of your skill but if your party can play the whole fight nearly perfect. I like the fight but if there are known latency issues with the fight (they have gotten better SE...thank you) then they should at least try and make the WOL cast right by making adjustments. Like other poster said this is the only fight that has dodging issues...and they are well documented.
