Positive things about the game

So, after taking a break from the game for almost two weeks I have ambivalent feelings. I played through the game, done some endgame content (relic quest, CT, king mog), leveled some crafts (not to 50 though), tried gathering. I have wanted to do coil for long but can't seem to find a group to do it with (time difference issues mostly). I enjoy the social aspect of the game but I'm a bit afraid of random people who can be quite nasty. Also, I'm a bit tired of the grinding. I really looked forward to housing and have now accepted the fact that it's probably not going to happen in the way I wished (every FC having a house and living in neighborhoods).

I want to continue playing the game. Can you please help me and tell me why? What are the positive things about the game that I will miss if I stop playing?

Also, I'm a bit tired of the grinding.

Less grind than this, and we start with level capped characters in raid-ready gear.

This is one of the things I dislike about the game... there's no progression-related time sinks (like doing dailies or gathering craft mats for good gear). Which can be a positive aspect to people who don't have much time to play.

What is making me continue is the friends from FC and LS. Playing with them, even Titan is fun.

I didn't mean grinding for progression through the main story. I meant it's becoming grindy with crafting/gathering, making money for house, getting high-level gear, etc. Yes, I suppose I also like playing the game a lot because of my friends. But what of the game itself? More positive things?

Well, that's what I'm doing :P By asking around what people like about the game so that I can find inspiration.

-Simple dye system.

-Being able to be anything at any time.

-Minions are precious. Especially my son.

Thank you Gramul I really agree about the scenery. I sometimes just find a nice place to sit and watch things like I'm visiting an art museum and want to sit in front of a painting for a while because it's stunning and fascinating

It's different for everyone obviously but I only play the game for the friends I've made. Also we're on the same server you can join coil with me and my buds if ya want :3
