I really do, now that age of conan online has become free to play very soon.. I think the game should stay free, untill there's way to many people that are playing it....

I agree with Joeking :s, You can buy this game for £4.77 and get free delivery but yet i don't see any increase in population and probably never will.
Hmm well, I rather support FFXIV in order to get better and better, than stay free and not so good.
Most people that want to play the game are following the changes SE are making and know they are completly overhauling it, the thing with a MMO is that it can be recovered from a bad launch if the devs make the right choices which it looks like they could be doing now.
I doubt I would continue playing this if it becomes F2P forever. Without fees this games has little room for improvements. It would not be worth it to keep it online.
Yeah I'm sorry to say I would probably cease playing if it became F2P. That being said I really cannot see that happening.
Also there is no hope in hell I'm willing to pay if we're still 5-6gig of content missing.
What? Age of Conan? What's that?
Anyway, imagine that with all the effort Yoshi-P and his Development team to bring the complete FFXIV version out they have to give it Free-to-Play.
Now enter into Yoshi-P's shoes. How does that feel?
I could maybe see that if AoC was a major player on the MMO stage, but their subscription base is equivalent to Ultima Online. Which was released 10 years prior to AoC. In short, they have the same subscription base as a game released in 1997...all things considered, if I were involved in MMO developement/marketing I wouldn't be looking at AoC to see where the trends are being set, nor attempt to follow in their shoes.
It will stay free. Until they fix it. If they manage to fix it, then it will return to subscription base. If it's never fixed hopefully they'll admit defeat and shut the operation down. But with as much as SE has invested in this endeavor, I think failure is not an option.
You can also download and play many MMOs for free that never break the 20k mark when it hits the international version. XI started off very slow and picked up as well and then as of now stabilized around the 100-200k mark. There will be an increase when the PS3 version hits (especially on the Japanese side) just like there was when the 360 version of XI hit and that was late in the game's life when it was "dieing".
It's going P2P, the same reason XI will never become F2P, unless you want a cash shop then well yeah it will be F2P.
They'll revitalize XI if so.I could maybe see that if AoC was a major player on the MMO stage, but their subscription base is equivalent to Ultima Online. Which was released 10 years prior to AoC.
