    Suggestions for increasing gil gains

I'm not sure the devs will ever see this, but here goes.

Suggestion #1: Make gathering materials sell for more than 1gil to vendor. (Not everyone wants to craft and there was once a time when mats sold for more than 1 gil a piece, some sold upwards of 10-20gil. Please bring this method back so we can make some kind of money vendoring items while solo. I realize it was taken away due to RMT, but it is not fair to the honest player base that we suffer for RMT mistakes.

Suggestion #2: Make the market board more like an auction house. Hide the prices so people have to "bid an amount." This should help cut down on all the undercutting and actually help promote crafting.

Feel free to post more suggestions. I really would like the devs to see this and rethink the economy. We are floundering out there.

I miss the allagan Tin-Bronze-Silver-Gold pieces from random dungeon chests, its nice to find after doing a dungeon that aswell as the gil from mobs you also won like 700gil in vendorable items

I think at the very least SE should make it so that the suggested selling price on the marketboards does not default to the vendor price. Heck, they should just remove the suggested price altogether. Seriously there are too many stupid people out there who'd list items on the marketplace for vender sell price and wait, rather than sell to vendor for the same price immediately. This obviously screws every other seller over too.

Increase vendor prices. Instead of 16 gil for iron ore make it 60 gil (still sell for 8 or whatever)! That way miners can actually make some decent money. On Adamantoise Iron ore prices are 27 but NPC is ~16 gil. NPC Prices should be above market equilibrium!

The BIGGEST undercutters are not people. People just respond to the market. The Biggest undercutters are NPCs!

Yeah, one of the hugest problems to hit the market was designed to exist: NPC vendors. Instead of forcing people to either buy iron from other players or go harvest it themselves, the devs allow players to buy it from an NPC. The beast tribe vendors only exacerbated this problem, though by the time they were added most of the damage was done. I remember being ASTONISHED that the guild vendors even existed; that there were independent culinarians, and independent armorers...why?

    1. Raw materials have single digit vendor values in order to limit their ability to be used by bots as a gil generation source. It also helps slow inflation.

    2. Undercutting is not a real problem. Just because you can't make the money you want does not mean the market is broken. It is a buyers market right now and changing to an Auction House would not fix anything.

Monsters dropping gil was added to replace the Allagan coins due to random distribution being a bad way to distribute income.

Make Guildhests drop more gil, to the tune of 3-5K per run. They're basically contract killings anyway, so it fits in the theme, and it would get people to farm dungeons for EXP and guildhests for cash. Might as well have *some* reason to go in to them post-50.
