    Ifrit EX healing strategy

So I finally got my healer cleared for this guy, and I notice everyone is doing this strategy that was posted on YOutube a month ago right when the encounter first came out. It seems really weird to me, they want the healers to be constantly moving in circles and switching positions/rotating.

Anyways, I was thinking an easier strategy would just to have each healer in a set position (1 east, 1 west), and the only thing that would change during the nail phase would be the DPS is mindful of which side the debuff is on for Searing Wind.

Is there any problems with what I explained and the healers keeping a set position? It seems like this would simply a lot instead of the circus going on that I see making it a lot harder.

If no voice application, i think rotating healer is easier and quicker for dps

its not too much for healers and its not too much for dps, if you make the party you decide

We do this and it works very well, DPS just need to swap (if melee) sides on nails when debuff switches which isn't a big deal.

If you have more than one melee, it's almost necessary during the third nail phase to have the healers swap or you won't have enough time to kill all the nails because the melee will be standing around with their thumbs up their butt waiting for the debuff to move to the other side. But there are usually ranged only parties in PF.

I hate ifrit ex anyway. In all my years of MMO gaming, searing wind is the worst, most poorly thought out mechanic ever.

Its usually either have healers go west (left) of ifrit when fighting, or have the healers stationary all the time east west. Personally i feel the easiest way is to have searing healer go to the east(right of ifrit) for the first phase, that way once the other healer gets searing, nails will go clockwise. After 2 h > race cars, have the healer that will get searing, go to the west, so usually means swapping healers positions from phase 1, remain like that for that for phase 2 and 3 and the searing should land on the west by time nails spwn. During last nail phase strategy, once the searing comes back to the west side healer, depending on strategy should be the only time to swap.

stationary is best in my opinion. for the healers to be constantly moving can get very dangerous to the tanks because of the eratic stacks and bursts of extreme damage. any precious time spent moving is not spent healing (and trust me you wanna be spaming these cures non stop pretty much) and making sure tank is ready and toped of for these bursts.

of course this strategy requires the dps be not braindead and pay atention. even with the titan ex skill check you still get morons in there.
