Ifrit HM - Weapon Drops

I remember farming my ifrit blade and seeing the blm weapon drop 5 time in 6 downs. I was frustrated, but hey now I have one if I ever want to lvl blm.

It took me a long time to get my ifrit weapon back in the days too, about 30-40 encounters to finally get it. Since there are a lot of weapons inside the chest itself, the chances is really small. If you have a free company with decent geared people, better just ask them to help you get relic weapon, much faster.

Back in September I had to kill Ifrit HM 88 times to get my WHM staff, so I can sympathize with this lol.

I ran it 112 times to get my BLM weapon. I got it, feeling extremely happy only to have it replaced the next day by my Relic...

Really, Primal weapons are barely worth it. Buy the ilvl70 crafting weapon and go get your Relic and move on. I had collected a Ifrit Weapon for every class other than WHM and I've deleted them all because they're not worth it.

Yes the drops are crazy. Did Ifrit HM well over 40 times (stopped counting)
and not once have i seen a bow.
3 or 4 runs in a row it was books, other times it was weapon for tanks.
I may just start doing Garuda more and hope to be lucky.

Whether people have ilvl70 weapons on the hardest fight to get relic (titan hm) is actually not that important and its certainly not needed for CT.
Just go for the crafted one in case you dont want people in your titan group whining about your weapon, but in that case they're probably noobs.

Well decided i was tired of the same old outcome from Ifrit and ended up just getting a lvl70 crafted one.
They still should rotate it more instead of always being books or swords

Ifrit or Garuda weapon is fine to get to Relic I have never had to use a GC Weapon so I am not sure about that but if other players are saying it...its must be true.
My 3rd run of Ifrit I got Bow.
My first run of Garuda got me that bow.
Got Lance off Ifrit within 5 runs.
Got rest of my primals off greed rolls with GC.
Some people just get lucky.

It takes 5910 Philo Tomes to get a full set of DL. Run WP or AK 60 times. In those 60 runs, you'll earn at least 180k gil. Buy a Titan HM (they are down to like 100k on Sarg). Now you have a better weapon than Ifrit.
