Because most of the time they want to be carried and not take the effort to learn the fight.

Like with PF, players with a low ilvl gear set up asking for peeps 80+. To carry them.

My experience has been that the one that rages first (and often the most) tends to be the one that caused the wipe(s) in the first place. Kids these days don't want to learn (there's only so much that watching a video can do, folks). They're impatient and want to be carried with as little effort on their part as possible.

Me, I fully expect wipes, no matter the composition of the group. While I don't mind them much, I do expect them.

I LIKE the fence. I get 2 groups to laugh at then.

Coordinating with others is really the only challenge in this game. People are all so different, getting along with a group of them for 90 minutes can be the hard thing. Having a little humility and just trying your best, in my experience, gets you the furthest.

Even if you are doing your part and someone else isn't getting it, no point in getting angry with them. Give them a fair shot to figure it out and if they don't get it for a time, just leave on your own. People all learn at different rates. Some of the "slow learners" can often be the best players in the end because they value "being good" more when they finally get it. People that have "natural skill" often don't respect it, since it may be easier for them and can cause just as many problems if not more from being brash.

The people who rage quit are more than likely looking to luck into a group that will carry them. I have been in many groups that stuck with it after multiple wipes...after a few tries content with the same group turns into farm mode.

I don't think I've ever outright rage-quit a group, or at least I've never been the first to leave a group that wipes a lot. Heck, I'm often the first person to say "Who's new to this fight/dungeon?" Most of the time if they're new, and unless they say otherwise, I'll give them the broad definition of the boss fight: dodge AoE, they summons adds at this point, don't kill this/kill these fast, etc. If the group continues to wipe even after this, I'll usually tell whichever player I feel is struggling to focus more on their role in the fight and why it's important. Nine times out of ten, just getting each person to understand their role in a boss fight makes it all the smoother, and we usually only wipe if someone was unprepared for the new mechanic, or we all got caught off-guard by something.

But some people can't be asked to wait those 5 minutes to help out new players. And if the tank bails first, well, so much for the rest of the party.

People are impatient, that's really what it boils down to, OP. I can see people getting frustrated maybe after the third wipe or more but...quite honestly I don't fully understand why for some it's the end of the world after just one. It is an MMO, so at least some content in this game requires coordinated efforts to get through different dungeons/primals/etc. Lashing out like people do sometimes surely doesn't help if there are problems already. Some groups just don't work out, but walking away with some knowledge of a fight is better than leaving angry and frustrated....there's no reason a tip or two couldn't be told to new players in moderately difficult content.

Completely off topic here, but has anyone ever told you that, due to the color of your blush/eyes/hair, your image for the portait on forums looks like a complete stoner?
