After just one wipe, DF people rage... why?

wipes dont bother me, its when the group wipes and noone says anything that i get irritated. like "what happened??" "why did we wipe?" are questions that often dont get asked, people just rush right back into the fight, alot of times without even stopping to get rebuffed. if this happens more than once, i leave. im not going to spend an hour trying to clear something with people who wont even try to communicate

You really should look up complex fights beforehand. You definitely are wasting other peoples' time if you don't.

It's quantifiable. You could have spent 10 minutes briefing yourself on a fight, in order to save 7 other people an hour of wipes. That's 10 minutes versus 7 hours.

Due to the nature of drop rates, people will be trying to farm content. They don't want to waste hours just for a chance at a drop, compounded by the chance of it being a drop they can use, when in contrast a good group can churn out a kill every 7 or 8 minutes.

I don't really rage but usually 2 attempts is enough to see whether the group is a lost cause or not.

YOu say we need to learn, well guess what..what is there to learn if each time you wipe once people rage quit ? each time for Titan for example if they dont reach the heart they leave, I did this out of my 170, 169x, this meant that for 169 attemps I had no clues what came after or even during the heart..so tell me, what is there to learn if each time you try to learn well people rage qui and then you are left to do over and over the same thing and see people leave at the very same place? I knew by heart what was happening untilt he heart...the only time I managed to pass and finish Titan I died mid of the last phase but that was the only tiem I saw something after heart.

So learning yes, but if people of a group leave each time, and more then not a tank or healer, there is nothing to learn and failure will happen still becasue people dont know ....not becasue they want to learn but beacause they couldnt learn.

Last night qued for Titan Ex. Didn't expect to kill it joined mostly to get a bit more practice on it so my expectations were realistic. Que popped, joined and everyone seemed to have a good attitude. First try, we didnt get to heart. Second try we got heart to about 40% but some DPS where dead before. So there was decent progression overall. After that a healer left. So that was that.

Problem is players jump in DF unrealistically expecting a kill. So after one or two wipes they bail. no matter how good the first attempt was. Hell, even wiped on Titan HM on the first pull with FC as people got "warmed up". It is one major reason why so many get gated on content because they either don't want to learn the fight and expect the rest of the party to one-shot it for them. Or they, as Meis example, end up in parties with those who don't want to take the wipes and push progression to learn the fight.

I usually have patience with DF groups but if it's THAT bad (like the group wiping on Titan HM phase 1) I'm leaving right away. There's a timer before it kicks us all out and there's no way the party's going to defeat the boss within that time limit if dodging the first landslide is too hard for half the party.

I remember one WP run with a new tank and a relic +1 BRD, I assume the BRD knows what hes doing so we run in, he's trying to burn King down, and we get overrun with adds and wipe. We go again I ask if the BRD can take the adds we try and wipe again, Next I explain the mechanics of the fight and the BRD says how he "doesn't normally run this with undergeared players" (I specifically had Ifrit's harpoon and AF for a lower iLvl dungeon than AK) after a third wipe he bails, we get a rep and win first time.
