    A problem with Duty Finder

I would like to share a growing problem with Duty Finder and get your views in terms of the solution and hopefully some devs might read this post or if not I can pick some of the better suggestions and post them in the feedback section

Problem: People who use the DF to practice EM primals

Primary use of DF: To make it easier for player(s) to access game content by making the player pool bigger than what is limited to a single content

Normally I would say a player's intention is to complete the dungeon (WP, AK etc) however for EM primals there are players who just wanna learn the mechanics of the fight.

The problem is that for EM primals DF pools together people who want to clear and people who wants to learn. It results in a frustrating experiences - for those who want to clear, they keep getting wipes; for those wanting to learn they wouldn't learn much

    Any suggestions to SE?

Not to be rude but, It is an MMO, make some friends. Duty finder is a roulette, there will be some good groups and some bad groups. If you don't like that go make a group on your server with party finder. I personally made a linkshell of good players to just bring through content like this so I did not have to deal with DF. I still do use the DF to practice fights though.

    In short, it ain't broke.

I don't find your reply rude at all. Thanks for sharing your views. Having a good link shell is good but I see that you are avoiding the problem. It's like keeping to a upper class neighborhood and avoiding the slums. But any well intentioned city planning will not designate an area as slums so what I am trying now is solicit feedback to pass on to the mayor on how to improve the slums

Umm not to be rude but don't use DF. When you use DF you shuffle the deck and accept that whatever comes your way is what you get.

If you want a kill either ask your FC, join a linkshell, join a PF group (either single kill or farm) or create your own PF group. Last night on Odin (EU) there were sometimes 3 PF groups at once all going for garuda and another 3 for Titan, only 1 for Ifrit.

The only time I would use DF is at 3am when there are very few people on and even that takes ages better to log off and go to bed.

In conclusion the only suggestion I have is a big pat on the back for SE for implementing the PF.

Your point have been debated over and over before. The questions asked took various forms, but essentially it's always one group of people wanting to remove another group of people from the DF. The answer will always be this:

Duty Finder is purely for fastest matching.
Party Finder is for forming customized parties.

If you don't like the people in DF, are unwilling to accept them, then you should use the PF. The DF is there to do a fast match. That is all it is. If you want a "better" team, you form it yourself using the PF.
