Titan EX: losing aggro during the heart phase

I've gotten Titan EX down to a farm, but there's still one thing I don't understand, sometimes 1/10 times the ST can pull hate off MT during the heart, usually when ST is a WAR, maybe using an aoe? It's definitely DPS based since if I am running ST at that phase and much higher geared than the MT I can also pull hate off the MT during the heart stage.

The thing is the aggro meters on the heart make no sense, regardless of who has max enmity, healers or ST the Titan should only target the MT or whoever had aggro before the phase. I thought the titan heart is a separate entity that has its own enmity table.

And irrespective of heart's enmity, "Titan" himself should keep enmity on whoever had the highest before the heart stage, maybe we're talking about enmity fall off where the MT's enmity drops faster than the ST, maybe the ST has some enmity buff on? Any one able to shed some light on this?

Not true, I've seen it change and so that's why I'm posting.

This usually happens if there is a tank swap just before the heart phase starts and the new tank hasn't established good aggro on titan yet.

There are some abilities that will generate aggro on every monster around even if they aren't targetable. This includes stuff like heals but also buffs like foresight or fight or flight. Using any abilities like this during the heart phase can get you aggro if the other tank didn't get enough of a lead before the heart phase started.

Because you can only attack and target Titan's Heart during that phase, yet the two are linked together, as far as damage enmity is concerned. So the tank not on Titan needs to calm their tits with any kind of enmity weaponskill rotation on the heart, because they're obviously going to still be running high on Titan enmity, and it still is affected.

Try it with some friends. Get up to the heart phase, then have the tank that isn't supposed to be on Titan just wail their Rage of Halone or Butcher's Block combo, while the one with enmity just sits there. They'll pull rather quickly.

Probably a bug or something, considering how derp some things are, like the Sword Oath glitch.

The Sword Oath bug is the culprit most of the time.

All I could do was laugh when I managed to pull a mob by turning on Cleric Stance.
