Cut Scene skip / load times.

I'm on PS3 generation 1 system. I don't know what the average time to / skip a cutscene on newer PS3 or PC but.. to give an expample

I run CM alot.. and the CS that play during this Raid sux for me. After i hit.. Skip Cutscene option .. the ....loading screen takes anywhere from 30 to 45 seconds to place me back into the game.

Perfect example would be after the 1st boss. where you jump into the Trash Compacter.. I am always the last to Zone back into the game.. I'm always the only one left in the area. by time i jump into the trash.. the rest of party is already fighting the magitek halfway down the map. As a healer for the party this makes me real late to join the fight. Anybody else having this problem?

omg same here!!! ppl always think im watching the CS but just im tryin to skip as fast as possible and wait for the gods forsaken loading screen. It sucks bc im also a healer and we get heat if we are late to the party lol :-/

Are you on an old ps3 if you are you could upgrade the hdd look for a cheap 2.5" laptop hdd 7200rpm or faster

If youre on pc get some cheap ram

I used to have the fat PS3 & when I upgraded it with SSD this problem was gone. Unfortunately it died a few days ago but I will install SSD again on my superslim because it made such a huge difference.
I advise you to do the same or wait for the PS4 version.

Yeah.. my PS4 is collecting dust. I got on day 1 and have not even played 1 game on it. I'm not into 1st person shooters and nothing on PS4 release interested me.
So.. im not going to sink another 100.00 into the PS3 to make it preform better for FFXIV ARR .

I honestly wish that SONY and SE had been truthful about the limitations of the PS3. As a result of the poor performance of the PS3 everything is now bench marked to under perform on other systems. Example would be the clipping you see on gear and armor sets. Because PS3 cant handle the graphics.. the rest of the community will be made to suffer.
High End PC users and PS4 users will always see clipping on gear because thats the standard PS3 set for everyone else.

It is. People who don't see the word "travel" in there love to tout it as an option for this, though.

I've noticed since the 2.1 patch that loading times have been very, very long. I'm on PS3.
