I think there is a 3 post per account on forums. Other than that, not sure.

That's what it's supposed to be, not what actually happens. As level 50, zalvati0n should be able to make 20 posts per day, not be blocked from his first post in more than a month. Sometimes, however, the forums give out this error when people are nowhere near their limit. I'm supposed to be able to post five times a day, but I've more than once gotten that error on my first or second post. Sometimes even after not posting for several days, my first post will get that daily limit error. I've heard from lots of other people (including zalvati0n here in this thread) who have had the same problem. As near as I can tell, it seems to be random. The forum software that checks for these daily limits is buggy.

Try logging out and logging back in. I had the same thing happen once, and after doing so, it was fixed. That thread has incorrect information anyway; there is supposed to be a 15 minute delay between posts, but that is not true.

The forum software that checks for these daily limits is buggy.
Not very surpising, really. The forum sofware is vBulletin, developed by vBulletin Solutions, but the Dev Tracker, account management, post limits etc. are all coded by SE. A lot of their modifications are done to the core files which easily results in stability issues. It's almost a wonder the forum works as well as it does.
